Living in the Carolinas, there are some really great places for 'que. And I have tried it in other places in my travels, and have yet to eat any to rival Carolina que. Well, recently I have. I wasn't expecting much when we stopped here for lunch, but I am happy to say, finally, there is a place worth commenting... More

We heard that the BBQ in the area was good when passing through Cloudcroft so decided to try this one. The meat itself was very tasty but the sides left something to be desired. The green beans were not cooked enough and the corn on the cob was water-logged. But they gave us 3 free cookies which were a nice... More

Bring your appetite because they pile it on high. Everything is wonderful as is the one in Ruidoso. Great taste, great people and great atmosphere!!

My husband and I travel cross country twice a year and have relied on Trip Advisor to seek out the local bbq joints. Relative to other highly rated, small town hole-in the-wall places this was mediocre. Cute rustic decor. Food: cafeteria line, with many of the meat items plastic wrapped. My shredded chicken sandwich, said to be the most popular... More

We stopped by for lunch and tried the pork ribs, green beans, coleslaw, and a piece of mountain berry pie. As other describe you order at the counter and carry your food over to table. The ribs were ok but lacked any flavor. They were wrapped in plastic at the buffet to keep them from drying out - perhaps that... More

This place smells amazing. Meats looks great. Portions are average. Kids did not like the green beans although the they normally love. Everything seemed made from scratch. One meat cut was surprisingly hard to chew (prime rib maybe), therefore, I am only giving 4 points. Closes early.

Stopped in for a quick meal to feed workers. Grabbed a pound of almost every meat they had and one chocolate chip cookie for the grand baby. No one was disappointed!

Very impressed with the staff, friendly and helpful. Had the combo #3 With smoked turkey and spicy sausage... both delicious. Mac and Cheese was yummy. If we are ever in Ruidoso or Alamagordo again we would definately eat here again. Bought some beef jerry too. Fresh made. It's tasty too!

It's just okay for me, the food is mediocre and sometime inconsistent but still edible. The BBQ sauce is amazing. The jerKy is pretty good as well.
