My husband and I had a 9 day visit to Tahiti this summer and this restaurant was our favorite on the island during our visit! They had great pizza and calzone options. Very good food! Nice French cuisine options. There is a language barrier, which...is to be expected. The staff were extremely friendly though and even taught us some words in Tahitian! The menu did have food listed in both French and English, so no issues there to order. We visited 2 times during our visit and would have went back more often if it would have been closer to our resort. Definitely worth a try!More
I enjoyed the setting - live band singing in Tahitian and open aired restaurant. The pizzas look and smell and taste great. We tried the profiteroles and the chocolate lava cake and they were the highlight. Loses some points for being fairly costly and because...the water feature/fish tank in the middle of the restaurant just looks like a pool of standing water.More
Food was good to ok. Chaser salad was a green salad but no romaine. Pasta was greasy service was terribly slow but the people were very nice when they came to the table. 15 mins to order. Then 15mins to bring water so don’t go...there hungry or thirsty. They charged for things I didn’t have but were apologetic and gave me my money back. Would not be my first choice to return.More
We had dinner at Casa Bianca the one night we were spending in Tahiti. Didn't feel like doing the hotel (Intercontinental Tahiti near the airport). This place is relatively close and we got there by Taxi with no issues. The service was almost too quick....After reading the reviews we thought that service might be an issue but it wasn't. There was a DJ that got done about 9pm.
I had veal scaloppine and my wife had a dish with gnocchi but we can't remember what the meat was. Looking at the menu online it may have been lamb. In any case both of our meals were very good and would recommend this restaurant.
The only caveat is the problem we had getting a taxi back to the hotel. The waitress called for one and told us it would be 15 minutes. 25 minutes later, still no cab. The maitre d' then called again and we were told 20 minutes. He bought us a rum and seated us at a table that appeared to be for take out orders. Again, no taxi. He made another call, bought us another rum and finally, after about an hour after finishing and paying for our meal a taxi showed and we ended up sharing with 2 other people going to our hotel. Except it didn't appear to be a legit taxi but we got back to the hotel just fine. So this is not a knock on the restaurant but should you have any time constraints getting anywhere after your dinner you may want to dine at the hotel or airport.More
It's hard to find open places (for almost anything) on a Sunday but we were offered this little gem by our hotel. I wanted something by the marina (we are boaters ourselves) and I am only sorry we didn't arrive earlier as it would have...been nice to see the marina in its' entirety. We were sat immediately since we had a reservation which was a good thing since it was very busy. The waiter confessed that he did not have a menu in English which was fine, we could figure it out for the most part. My husband had a seafood pasta dish and I had a steak with herb de provence butter. Both were fantastic and we loved that our waiter worked with us to figure out what we wanted. Next time we hope to visit with a little more daylight around so we can take in the sights :)More
We walked here from the Intercontinental and had a great affordable meal. The massive pizza was both delicious and reasonably priced. They also had some local craft brews on tap that were delicious. Walk seemed pretty safe, but probably wouldn't have done it alone.
