Thank you again for the warm welcome and wonderful fish tajine. The cold beer on the late afternoon boat trip to view Abu Simbel was also wonderful. Highly recommended.

Stayed one night and it was lovely - Fekry, his son and the team made sure every aspect of the stay was lovely. It felt like being in a home. It's an easy 20 min walk from the temple complex, and is nice and quiet. The fish was easily the best dinner I have had in my travels around Egypt.... More

Lovely Nubian meal served on terrace of this Nubian Eco lodge. Brilliant fish tagine accompanied by bread, salad, tahine. Cold beer really went down well on this hot evening but wine was available too. Friendly, attentive service.

Very relaxed and rural atmosphere. Set inside an organic farm, this is a wonderful place to have a relaxing lunch and rest after a morning at Abu Simbel.

We loved staying at the Eskaleh! The rooms are gorgeous and comfortable. The food is wonderful and freshly prepared. The location, in the charming town is a medium walk from the Archaeological site or the extremely helpful staff can arrange an inexpensive taxi. The site of Abu Simbel is magnificent and is best seen in early morning, before the day... More

It was very relaxing to sit on the terrace having tea. The rooms were nice & cool. We ate lunch, Dinner & breakfast there. All was fresh... More

I came here to ask about a room in December, and yes, they were lovely and Fikry is very friendly and helpful, but goodness is it expensive. I know there is a the argument that it is hard to get to Abu Simbel, but I really think it's over-priced. Instead, I ended up staying somewhere cheaper, and returning to Eskaleh... More

We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here during our stay. Not a lot of variety, but the food was tasty and plentiful. I liked the eggplant dish and the fish tajine.

While we did not spend the night here, we did rent a boat from the Eskaleh Eco Lodge and toured Lake Nasser. It was great to see the Abu Simbel from the water and explore the largest man-made lake in the world. The charge was 250 Egyptian pounds for 1 hour - 350 for two hours. When we returned, we... More
