This place was very close to our hotel, so we wanted to give it a shot. We had a large group of 15 people and at first we were the only ones in there. The service was a little slow, took about 45 minutes to get our drinks and another 45 for food. The food was very good, but the... More

I would have listened when the waitress recommended the steak, but I don't eat meat so ordered the grilled fish. What a mistake! The fish was dry and had the definite taste of the lighter fluid from the grill. I tried eating from the opposite end, but it was no better. I should have sent it right back, but thought... More

We came for dinner, we had grilled fish. The fish was small dry and salty. Definitely not worth 14$.The shrimp was ok but not more. Better check other places.

Cafe del Mar is own by local people and get sea food from local fishermen only two blocks away! You can't beat that. It can get any fresher than that. Fresh grilled red lobster when in season the best! Owner Hans and his dad are always very welcoming happy people. I always enjoy eating there and will go back again.

This meal was included on our tour, and consisted of a buffet with salad, the usual white rice, and extremely overcooked pork. The meat was very tough, and mostly bone. In an attempt to relieve the low spirits occasioned by the meal, we tried to order a couple of cocktails listed on the menu. We were told that they were... More

The food was seasoned wonderfully but a bit on the expensive side. Dinner ran the four of us about $75 USD without drinks. The quantity was sufficient but the plates weren't large enough for two people to share. Service nice, bathrooms clean and atmosphere ok.

I had a blended mix of mango, papaya and pineapple at this place. So refreshing and inexpensive and it also offers free wifi which is fun if you want to log into Facebook.

The seafood dishes from the grill are very good here and come with a lot of salad. Wine is very expensive compared with other restaurants. Service is very friendly and fast.

At first we were hesitant to dine in this place, given it was completely empty at 7 PM. We didn't read previous TA reviews at that time so we didn't know it was highly rated. The octopus is to die for. We literally ordered grilled octopus every single meal and restaurant we've dined in Galapagos and hands down - this... More

Everything I've read in previous reviews about the octopus was true. It was incredibly delicious and meaty to the point where at first look we were question if it was chicken! It was very reasonably priced and came with sides.
