This place has great atmosphere and wide selection of street food, fresh grilled fishes, skewers for reasonable price visited by tourist likewise by locals. The set menu of the day – soup, main course and juice starts at 5$. Grilled items start from 10$ including...salad and french fries: Some prices are subject of negotiation. In the evening the vendors block the street and set up the tables in the middle of the street. The location is a about two blocks right from Baltra Av. Locals will know where to direct you.More

Restaurant called La Pausa 2. Ordered a whole grilled scorpion fish. It came swimming in oil, and I could tell it had been undercooked ( the meat stuck to the bone). I had tried this dish elsewhere and it was great. By the time I...got back to the hotel, my stomach was already churning. The next day I was delirious and had trouble standing. The next morning I woke up covered in my own poo. It was a week before I could function again. We had noticed before that one of the people in our hotel had spent the day in bed. The galapagos is glorious, but the food has the potential to kill you.More

If you’re staying Puerto Ayora you must visit here for dinner. Lots of great places to eat and very reasonable priced compared to the main strip of restaurants on the main road next to the water. Great atmosphere, great food and drinks and excellent service....We ate here twice while staying in Puerto Ayora and we loved it!More

When arriving in Pto. Ayora most of the visitors will eat at least once at Los Kioskos. The food we had was OK, the prices also. But for me its simply far too touristy: The crews of the restaurants don't get tired to try to...pull you in their restaurant... sometimes tired. After two days we avoided eating there... because if you want to save money, you'll find some local restaurants (of course away from the beachfront Darwin road) where you can have a local dinner for around 5 USD. Or, if you appreciate quality the FraFre Gastrobar is definitly VERY recommendable. You might pay a little more, but the quality of the food and the excellent service at FraFre Gastrobar is definitely not comparable to anything I had at Los Kioskos.More

My husband and I went to Los Kioskos as the TripAdvisor reviews were great. I can't remember the name of the specific restaurant we went to, but it was across from TJ's. For those of you unfamiliar with it, this is a common place for...locals (as explained by our tour guide). On each side of the street vendors are trying to get you to go to their restaurants. After 6:00 p.m., they block off the street and those restaurants will place their tables in the middle of the street. It's like a big block party with music. A lot of fun! The food was good, but not as good as some of the restaurants down by the water. It was the unique experience of it all that made it for us! I will say that our tour guide used to recommend this place, but stopped recommending it after somebody got sick. We were just fine after our meal, however, and really enjoyed the night!More

One of the first recommendations we received when asked where the locals go for dinner was Los Kioskos. This is a section of street with small restaurants on each side. At 6pm each night, the street closes and it becomes one big dining room. Tables...are moved to the street and restaurant staff move their food offerings to the sidewalk. If you want great seafood, this is the place to go. Everything we had was delicious...scorpion fish, tuna, langostinos, shrimp, plantains and salad. Cocktails and beer are also available.More

Lots of little restaurants hoping to lure you to their service. I had a lobster at one of them, quite yummy. They don’t put their tables out till 6:30, so don’t bother looking for them till then. The street is up from the pier about...4 short blocks on the right.More

Definitely check this out! So much food for good prices. Local cuisine and things like Italian, icecream, and coffee. We visited multiple times!

This is not a restaurant, it's a street where you can find all types of food and restaurants. You have the cheap $5 lunches or you can eat the exotic Galapagos lobster (when it's fishing season) for $30. You can also find pizza, sushi, and...burgers. You buy food in the restaurant you like and sit wherever you want (it's an open space), so everyone in your group can eat in a different place.More
