Highly recommended place for everyone

Romero bar is my favorite place in Opatija. The staff is very kind, helpful, they also speak english. Their hamburgers are delicious, the portions are quite generous, so it’s absolutely worth the price. We spent there about 5 hours waiting for our bus to come, and they didn’t mind it. They also gave us free cookies for our trip! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have a good meal in a great atmosphere.

Spunky little burger joint

We found this place on accident. It looked cool from afar. Fun decor, cozy but with a good vibe. Prices were fair, the burgers are solid, perhaps a little bit salty. I prefer the meat medium cooked instead of the well-done we got but maybe that can be solved with communication. A good choice if you want something hearty and easy.

Qucik bites in Opatija

It's the "little sister" of the bigger and more fancy Ružmarin restaurant, located just around the corner from it, with a "view" of the Opatija bus station. It's the perfect place for a quick bite, they offer burgers, tortillas (meat and veggie version) as well as various pastries and desserts, and of course, fries. The food is much better then in similar place, but it is still a fast food place, but you can get a good meal for 10 euros worth.

Only 40 minutes for a burger to wait

We had to wait more than 40 minutes to get 2 burgers and one fries, also the other maybe 5 guests before us was waiting that long. Finaly the burger was a joke, the serviceman told us to "try it to make better by your self". I can say to put a patty in a bun is possible to make. Stay hungry guys!

We ordered and the cashier was sooo impatient and rude! I think she was the manager. She was extremely unhelpful and rushed us. Then they got the order wrong wrong twice! Cheeseburger had no cheese and they redid it and then had no bacon! Then they made us wait and gave us barely cooked bacon - terrible 😡 and my pizza was ice cold - she never gave us the option to heat it up

The best breakfast and burger spot in Opatija

After being a daily guest at Romero I decided to write a review. Honestly the best place to have breakfast in Opatija. It’s actually the only place which has various and concrete breakfast options if you don’t count hotels. Love having breakfast every week especially the protein breakfast with additional bacon on top. The croissant filled with eggs, cheddar and ham will leave you speechless. You have various omelettes, pastries, bread, filled croissants and good coffee. It’s perfect! Romero has proven also as a great burger spot, their burgers are top. I always choose the cheesy burger but I order 3 meats. :) not to forget the 1m long pizza… damn I can’t decide what is better.

Best burger in Opatija and the best burger i had in a long time from a restaurant. I had the Cheeseburger Menu and they serve their boxed salads in a proper plate and serve it with the rest of the food so you dont have to wait for the others to get their meals while your salad gets warm. 10/10 customer experience.

Great looks, mediocre taste

Burgers and fries look great but the taste was not so great. I ordered Delicious burger without salad and potatoes with cheddar and bacon. First they got my order wrong and there was salad in my burger which I'm accustomed to since it happens very often. The staff was very nice and immediately took my burger back. They then brought out burger with only bun and meat, no sauce. I really didn't want to return burger for the second time, so I ate it like that. Naturally without sauce it was dry and had very little taste. Fries were terrible. Cheddar tasted like it was diluted with water and bacon didn't have any taste, if I didn't see the bacon I wouldn't know it was there. Potatoes for itself were okay at best. At last, pretty high prices and long wait for burgers. Only good thing about this place (for me) was very nice staff in front of the house.

Very good burgerplace

I think we ate easily the best burgers of our lives there. The sauce is amazing, the meat is great, and the fries are very special and tasty too! Only downsize: it‘s uncomfortable to sit on their wooden seats and there were loud noises all around us because of construction works. It‘s not realy their fault, but at least they could‘ve closed the doors. Still the food was so good we would go again.

One of the best burgers I’ve had in Croatia. A great spot for a quick bite. I had the Diablo, the burger was juicy, cooked well with delicious fillings. Would recommend to anyone when visiting Opatija.

Quality fast food in the heart of Opatija

We went to Romero twice: both the evening selection (burgers, sandwiches, etc) were tasty and plenty. Freshly made dishes, but the service is superfast. Breakfast was perfect as well. Nice selection. The Romero Slider is a must have! Prices are in the normal range.

Bad experience in Romero

Found a long black hair in my burger! Stuff acknowledged and offered replacement meal but I lost all my appetite. No financial reimbursement was offered which is a bit lame since I couldn't finish my meal.

Great Quick Bite

After a long day we were looking for a mid-afternoon quick small bite to tide us over until dinner. We had the Tuna and hummus sandwich, coffee and a beer. Sandwich was already made but fresh and tasty. Everything came quickly. The price was very reasonable. They also have pizza, burgers, other sandwiches and drinks. It was just what we wanted without any fuss.

Great spot and good food. Service was good but small things like having to buy ketchup is a little petty to me. Especially when you have to go back into line to order one ketchup. Not great.

Waiting/Happy Thoughts/Love

Popped in to this excellent little eatery, high quality, gourmet style fast food. We had a tortilla and burger but brilliantly prepared. The patatas bravas were exceptional. The IPA was also a refreshing addition to what was a lovely quick meal.
