Rainy October night and in the mood for something both seasonal and local to the area. I ordered the pasta rustica with Adriatic prawns and Istrian black truffles. It was exceptional. We had had lunch late so I skipped a starter or salad so I could have dessert. Desert was panda canna topped with local honey and shaved black truffles - memorable and delicious. There was a mix of local and foreign tourists in the restaurant, and the service is leisurely by American standards so not a place if you are impatient or in a hurry. We made reservations through our hotel a few hours in advance. I would highly recommend. One note of caution, my wife is less adventureous with food and ordered the wok stir-fried chicken. I visited Roko more than once and can only recommend it to anyone who prefers good food, a feel-good atmosphere and good service. Some of the service staff can also speak German which helped me and my family a lot. THE FOOD IS BOMB! Supper delicious appetizers and desserts. The portions more than sufficiently large and mega service. A place for us was also always there, sometimes we had to wait for a moment but we were always taken care of mega well.

Overall a decent meal but most expensive of our trip to Opatija. Only place we weren’t able to dine outside despite requesting, made to feel like they’d done us a favour by getting a table at all. Food was nice - we ordered grilled vegs and potatoes - around €4 each per portion and we got 3 very small pieces of potato - very poor value. Wouldn’t go back if we return to Opatija.

We made a great choice stopping in for lunch at this restaurant. We sat inside which offered a great atmosphere with the decor and the buzz of activity. The menu was immense with a varied choice of items. We ordered a black risotto, a tuna pasta and a porcini mushroom pasta all of which were just wonderfully delicious and generous serves. The house wine which we ordered by the glass was most acceptable and once again the serve was generous. Prices, although not exceptionally cheap, were more than fair and we were happy with what we were served for the price. I could certainly eat there again and again if we were staying longer in the area.

We had dinner with the family at this restaurant because it was my daughter's birthday. We were warmly welcomed and we had a nice table right by the window. The waiter was very nice and personable. The ambience of the restaurant is simple, traditional and cosy. We felt very comfortable. We ordered pizza. The pizza was served hot and was very delicious. Meals might be ok and popular spot but the waiter is a complete disgrace … 20 minutes to get a menu… then can’t even order 1 meal between two children …. Order lemonade they don’t bring sprite (for a 3 year old) …. Come back when they have less people in my opinion.

Very good restaurant with quality products. We had lunch with a grilled chicken breast accompanied by some potatoes made in the same way with tomatoes and another very original dish of sea bass fillets that had shrimp inside, pesto sauce and everything on a bed of hummus. After we had a nice and very good meal, we booked a table for the next day. As we were travelling with our dog, we wanted a slightly larger table so that he could lie underneath. As we left, the service staff said goodbye in a friendly manner, "See you tomorrow!" The next day when we arrived, none of the slightly larger tables were free. Just have to say the tuna pasta was terrible! The tuna was over cooked and tasted so fishy and quite frankly… rotten. When I mentioned to the server, he offered something else, however I was sick to my stomach from the smell & taste of what they served, I wanted nothing. My husband enjoyed his lamb chops, so this is why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. To my surprise, we were charged for the horrible dish. I had only one bite of it. Even while writing this, I feel sick to my stomach. This definitely should have been taken off the bill. Very disappointed!

Located on the edge of the street, this small restaurant with a warm and typical setting offers very modern decoration. Very friendly waiter while remaining professional. He made our evening run smoothly. We opted for dry and shrimp risottos. Served straight from a saucepan where we fill our plate as we become hungry. The live grated parmesan was also super good. I think this concept is brilliant! The products are excellent and of good quality in sufficient quantity. Very good value for money. I will go back there !
