Excellent fish dishes!Nice place by the sea.Great wine.Fantasy deserts. Great staff. Just go and try..something really special. And near the seaside walk from Volosko to Opatija or Lovran. Everything just great.

An outstanding restaurant again and again! To great food the patrons of this place are used to. However, what was additionally impressive this time was sincere friendliness and welcoming reception . Plavi podrum is one of few restaurants with NEVER changing quality’, but corona made...them even better !More

The food is absolutely amazing, while the stuff seemed a little bit nervous and too fast. We wanted to enjoy our meal for a long time, but they were kind of rushing us. Nonetheless, the food is amazing, the view over the bay is beautiful...and we just loved it. Will come again.More

I learnt about this restaurant in a fine dining booklet called JRE, jeunes restaurateurs. It lists fine dining restaurants of excellence. The amuse bouche and raw tuna were ok. But the rest seemed assembled without a purpose. Shrimps, made the tagliolini dish look cheap; the...peaches and white truffles, in my opinion, did not blend. The ‘falafel’ in the arty fish dish also out of context. And, btw, which precious fish? Dessert was good but more appropriate for the winter. However, the presentation was correct and could have fooled you. Service was so very sloppy. In the beginning we were fed one dish after the other, literally. But then the wine we ordered for the fish arrived with the dessert and so we told the waiter who said we could think of it as a digestif! This is just to give an example of how sloppy it was. There would be more to say. I do not recommend this place. It does not deserve the distinction it’s given and it diminishes the credibility of JRE, Jeunes Restaurateurs, selection.More

This place is basically right on the water on the outskirts of Opatija, in a cluster of 5 restaurants (one which plays loud house music unfortunately) Honestly I thought it was going to be overprices, a place where you pay for the location and the...food is just "pretty good" - but I was VERY wrong The truffle/scampi/pasta dish I had was PERFECT - please go to this restaurant and order it The rest of the stuff we ordered was also very good - nice beer & wine, super professional staff, a free amuse bouche, free after dinner drink Reaaaallly nice place!More

We had a delicious dinner at the restaurant Plavi Podrum in Volosko harbor. From our cold starters over great fish and scampi all to the great desert, everything was tasty and fresh. Would recommend every time!

Unfortunately this restaurant gave us food poisoning- I never had it before and it was a terrible experience. We ate a mackerel appetizer which tasted a bit funny and then the octopus salad. I thought it tasted off but unfortunately I kept eating because I...thought the strange taste was due to some local seasoning. The fish soup was excellent. White fish also good. During the day before dinner, we only had bread this there was nothing else that could have caused the food poisoning and we both had it because we shared all the dishes. A night to remember but not in a positive way. Luckily now 36 hours later, the food poisoning is gone. Naturally, I would never eat here again even though the restaurant has a lovely location right next to the sea.More

Very nice restaurant in a small port. One of the best in Opatija. Professional staff, perfect food and exceptional wine list. Owner was very friendly and helpfull with wines (she is experienced sommelier). It was not our last visit here. 👍
