We had a wonderful gastronomic experience with the 5 course degustation menu. They were also flexible to adjust some dishes due to allergies and preferences. The sommelier suggested a very nice Croatian white wine at a reasonable price. Beautiful ocean view to Cikat bay from...the outside terrace. The french chef was not present, apparently due to Covid-19 he had to return to France. We were told the previous Croatian chef is back in action in the kitchen.More

I used to love this restaurant when the chef was a young talented chef from Croatia. Unfortunately the chef has changed under the catastrophic hands of a ‘Michelin’ starred French chef from Bordeaux who completely failed to respect the fresh unique ingredients of the Adriatic...Sea and the spirit of Croatian food. It’s a tragedy of epic proportion. I have a passion for travel, for food and for wine so I trust I know what I’m talking about. The chef loves to overseason his food. Even on simple fried eggs he added lots of pepper so one cannot taste the eggs. He undercooks the fish and overcooks the meat. The tasting menu is fish on fish on fish or meat on meat on meat. On a beautiful island In Croatia with an abundance of fresh seafood one finds on the tasting menu foie gras and pigeon?! On hot days when one feels like having a gazpacho I ordered the avocado gazpacho with almonds which I thought should be safe but alas the avocado is infested with the pungent and overpowering red onions. I had the misfortune of being sick when I was at the hotel so I asked for a simple soothing vegetable soup but even that simple dish he cannot make. He had to over seasoned the soup with loads of black pepper so it was so spicy hot and this is to be served to a person who is sick and had a stomach problem? A good chef is one who should first and foremost understand and respect the ingredients and he can do neither. He’s very lacking on creativity because his style is very predictable. He is, however, very creative in disastrous tastes. That is one thing you can count on. I truly hope when I return the next time to this beautiful restaurant I would be greeted not only by the wonderful staff but also by wonderful food and I am convinced that the new French chef should not not be the head chef. I was there in May giving him the benefit of the doubt. Now that I returned from my second time this season I am absolutely convinced that a new replacement should be found. To hire just any chef who has a Michelin star is a wrong move and judgement. Michelin stars don’t mean much to me, I have dined at seven out of ten of the best restaurant in the world on this year’s pellegrino list of 50 best restaurants in the world and I was laughing at their poor choice of restaurant on the list. But laughing is one thing. The hotel and the restaurant of this level of excellence deserve a better choice of chef to complete the experience and this current combination is simply tragic.More

This was a decent restaurant with good service. The aperitif trolley was a nice touch. If we return to Lośinj we will return (we loved Lośinj).

Outstanding The restaurant is a part of beautiful Alhambra boutique hotel We had a wonderful dinner at this classy restaurant, part of the Alahambra hotel The food is fresh,and inventively prepared and delicious and inventively prepared with great care. The place, the mood, the service quality and the food. Everything is more than perfect at a reasonable price all in all. Everybody working in this Michelin star grade restaurant seems proud of what they do. Stilee, in French. Bravi! P.S. Gin Tonic fantastico!

We were traveling with our 10 months old baby and stayed at the hotel Bellevue. We were offered the dine around option and wanted to try the Alfred Keller restaurant. They were wonderfully accommodating and we found a way to enjoy our dinner with our...little son. We had two evenings there, with the beautiful view and a great 5 course dinner. Everything was really tasty and the service was bliss. Thanks to the team for making our evenings there such a lovely experience and our holiday one to remember!More

I wanted to write a long review, but in the end it all comes to this: I cannot remember a single thing we had and that says it all - not worth to remember. We went there since last year we had great experience, however...this year our evening ended up with us asking the waiter whether they've changed the chef since the tasting menu was boring and unimaginative. The service was however outstanding. I plan to return after somebody convinces me it was just a bad night. Unfortunately, I regret every cent of 450€ we spent (tasting menu for two+wine pairing).More

If hotel Bellvue restaurant deserves a Michellin star, chef in Alhambra deserves all 3 of them! I have never had gso delicious and tasteful dinber experience like roday! Planned to visit Losinj once per year, but after this experience I want to be here more...often - thank you Chef Melkior!More
