As expected from a Michellin star restaurant, the food and presentation is amazing. Service is very good although they could improve a bit for such a place (ie cleaning the bread crumbs at least once during dinner). Good suggestions and pairing by the sommelier.

I am really missing right words to describe and praise what a magnificent, state of the art meals this restaurant offers. Amazingly combined ingredients to form so balanced meals! A big bravo to the Chef! Service was also at the level and this villa is...also a gem of architecture. Looking forward for my next visit.More

Pictures don't do justice to this wonderful, breathtaking gastronomic experience, one where we came in with high expectations and left thoroughly amazed. Starting with the magnificent Hotel Alhambra where the restaurant is located, the scenery, the terrace overlooking the sea and beautiful Losinj island, wonderful...and professional staff, everything was set just right for the superb dishes that were yet to come. We took the Signature menu that earned the restaurant their first Michelin star, and chef's innovative menu, both of which had perfectly balanced, flavour infused courses of Adriatic fish or meat. Every single dish was incredible, and every single bite was a taste of pure joy. It's not a mistake to say that this was art on a plate. Many thanks to the staff and even more to the chef Michael Gollenz for this wonderful experience. Obviously, highly recommended.More

Super and very interesting food, cooked to perfection and a great ambience. Chef came to the table at the end of the meal to ask if we’d enjoyed dinner. They also had our favourite Istrian wine.

I was very excited about this restaurant, but unfortunately i was disappointed. Food was nothing special, average, every meal was sour, definitely not Michelin star quality. Service and wine list are very good.

It is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been. The whole dinner was an amazing gourmet experience as always. Every time we come to the island the first thing we do is to make a reservation at this restaurant. The chef of the restaurant...worths not only visiting but returning that is very rare. So strongly recommended!More

The resturant is in the alhambra hotel and our table was on the terrase with a nice view to the cikat bay. The enterance to the resturant from bay walkway is actualy not the door with the resturant name but door to the side. Great...service from the start, they have daily menu 3 or 4 courses and we went all in with 4 courses which was 110 euro per person. Started with a glass of roze sparkling wine and choose a SB cloudy bay bottle for our wine, nice selection of wines from all over take care quite pricey drinks. You start with the warm up from the cuisine, and along comes a very tasty olive oil and great bread. Then came the scallopps which are very thinly cut and full of taste. Second dish is the lobster which has touch of goose liver on the top but such a nice picture and great full taste. I dare say the tournedos rossine was wow, just melts as you eat it. Weclosed it with two sets of sweets. The last three sweet bites had very intriging taste. The chef is from austria and i would think they are on a good way for the michelin star. Service is professional and plesant. Good things usualy do not come cheap so end price for our dinner for two was 400 euro on the high side but we enjoyed the food and where treated excellent.More

We had a wonderful gastronomic experience with the 5 course degustation menu. They were also flexible to adjust some dishes due to allergies and preferences. The sommelier suggested a very nice Croatian white wine at a reasonable price. Beautiful ocean view to Cikat bay from...the outside terrace. The french chef was not present, apparently due to Covid-19 he had to return to France. We were told the previous Croatian chef is back in action in the kitchen.More

I used to love this restaurant when the chef was a young talented chef from Croatia. Unfortunately the chef has changed under the catastrophic hands of a ‘Michelin’ starred French chef from Bordeaux who completely failed to respect the fresh unique ingredients of the Adriatic...Sea and the spirit of Croatian food. It’s a tragedy of epic proportion. I have a passion for travel, for food and for wine so I trust I know what I’m talking about. The chef loves to overseason his food. Even on simple fried eggs he added lots of pepper so one cannot taste the eggs. He undercooks the fish and overcooks the meat. The tasting menu is fish on fish on fish or meat on meat on meat. On a beautiful island In Croatia with an abundance of fresh seafood one finds on the tasting menu foie gras and pigeon?! On hot days when one feels like having a gazpacho I ordered the avocado gazpacho with almonds which I thought should be safe but alas the avocado is infested with the pungent and overpowering red onions. I had the misfortune of being sick when I was at the hotel so I asked for a simple soothing vegetable soup but even that simple dish he cannot make. He had to over seasoned the soup with loads of black pepper so it was so spicy hot and this is to be served to a person who is sick and had a stomach problem? A good chef is one who should first and foremost understand and respect the ingredients and he can do neither. He’s very lacking on creativity because his style is very predictable. He is, however, very creative in disastrous tastes. That is one thing you can count on. I truly hope when I return the next time to this beautiful restaurant I would be greeted not only by the wonderful staff but also by wonderful food and I am convinced that the new French chef should not not be the head chef. I was there in May giving him the benefit of the doubt. Now that I returned from my second time this season I am absolutely convinced that a new replacement should be found. To hire just any chef who has a Michelin star is a wrong move and judgement. Michelin stars don’t mean much to me, I have dined at seven out of ten of the best restaurant in the world on this year’s pellegrino list of 50 best restaurants in the world and I was laughing at their poor choice of restaurant on the list. But laughing is one thing. The hotel and the restaurant of this level of excellence deserve a better choice of chef to complete the experience and this current combination is simply tragic.More

This was a decent restaurant with good service. The aperitif trolley was a nice touch. If we return to Lośinj we will return (we loved Lośinj).
