First time at this restaurant open since 1897 and it was very good. We were for happy hour from 4-6 with half price appetizers served at the bar. Food, service and atmosphere are great. You will not be disappointed.

Without a reservation my wife and I visited Dock's and were told the dining rooms was full but we could sit at the only two spots at the piano bar.It was happy hour and we ordered Oysters (raw) and fried. Calamari, Caesar salad, Calm chowder....Server was prompt and personable. This was more than enough for the two of use for dinner. Everything was great and we will return soon (with a reservation) and enjoy another fine meal.More

Docks was a bit disappointing after a stellar visit about 5 years ago, probably as they are still recovering from closure during COVID. Last time we dined there my husband had their gluten free crab cakes which are hard to find elsewhere and so he...ordered those again. I ordered the rack of lamb over mashed potatoes and both came with mixed sautéed squash, onion and pepper. My lamb came with French fried beets which I couldn’t have due to medical condition.. Then we ordered a salad of mixed greens with apple, walnuts and crumbled blue cheese to share. Our server was very nice and attentive, and we discussed for at least a couple of minutes how I wanted the lamb cooked — I stressed pink throughout, a cross between medium and medium rare. She said I had to choose one method and so I said medium as long as it’s pink; she agreed. She did recommend a good Pinot Noir for me to try and I did enjoy it. The first problem occurred when they brought us the house arugula salad instead of the one we ordered. We sent that back and they brought the correct one. Then the entrees arrived and my lamb was totally grey — no pink observed at all. I told the busboy that our server promised it would be pink; he offered to send it back but I told him to please hurry it as I had taken medicine that requires me to eat within 20 minutes and that had already passed. Sure enough it took at least another 10-15 minutes to get the properly cooked pink lamb and my husband had almost finished his crab cakes by then. The portions were large and we were full so did not look at the dessert menu but others who had ordered dessert had huge pieces of pie and cake arrive to their tables. The food was good when it finally arrived properly to our table but again, not as impressive as five years ago. . .More

When we arrived, I was surprised that we could not get a reservation (Tuesday night). With that said, we were seated at the bar upstairs; same menu, same food. Everything was excellent: the food, the service, and friendly staff. I ordered the crab cake dinner...some...of the best crab cakes I've had. They have a nice selection of wine by the glass...and many oyster choices (didn't have any oysters due to an allergy; used to love them, but they don't agree with me anymore). I will return to check out other menu items on my next AC trip.More

Extra special food. We ate at the bar as we couldn’t get a reservation. Absolutely extraordinary. Live music and the bartender a fantastic person and server. Will hi back to Atlantic City again just to eat there.

Docks Oyster House has a secret weapon- a server named Jaclyn. Not only is she professional, she times her checkin perfectly and knows her oysters! We had a fabulous night celebrating my sons soccer victory and jaclyn made it perfect. If I was management I...would clone her- others were not in her league. Have the oysters, special fish preparation or the amazing filet.More

Trying to review Dougherty's at Resorts. Both of the hostesses were rude, unfriendly, and unwilling to help.

We were able to secure a reservation at Dock's having never been there before. The service and the food were outstanding!! I had the salmon special and my husband had a lobster tail. For something different we had the deep-fried shredded beets - this is...a MUST try! They are delicious!! We look forward to returning again when back in town!! Ask for Doug - Great service!More

Yes there is alternate parking available, and I think that there’s still a valet. I read about parking on Resy. We took an Uber though.
