LandShark Bar & Grill is the only year-round full-service bar and restaurant on the sand side of the Boardwalk. Ideally located on 200 feet of prime beach frontage at the site of the Old Steeplechase Pier, LandShark Bar & Grill brings its guests to the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Inspired by the great "beach joints" that once dotted the Atlantic Coast, the venue features retractable walls to provide spectacular views of the ocean and places guests in the center of the action on the beach and Boardwalk. Great location and food, ok service

Went with family on a Saturday. They opened at 11, we got there by 11:10 and still had to wait to be seated about 10 min. Someone walked up and asked how long of a wait it would be for a table of 6 and they were told 30 min. Not sure why the wait would be so long right when they opened and there were maybe 5 or 6 tables seated. We were seated and drink order taken immediately. My cousin ordered a frozen margarita and after it was delivered we were informed the place was out of straws. How can you drink a frozen drink without straws? Our server was a little slow, had to wait for refills. Food was delicious! Best fish tacos Ive had. View is great

Extra charge for more dressing-poorly managed

Not much of a menu. Ordered a salad and asked for some extra ranch dressing and the waitress said they would have to charge for extra dressing. The manager came over and I explained, the little cup they put the dressing in, was only half full. She would not give in and said we have to charge for extra, so I told her to take it back, so she did. Very poor management on her part. They lost out because the salad was $4.99. They also said they did not have lemons for ice tea my husband ordered. Very disappointed!!

LUNCH SATURDAY AFTERNOON ~~~ WAITRESS WAS THE BEST.....

Stopped in for lunch last Saturday and was seated within minutes. Our server "Francine" was with us within a few minutes and took our drink orders and food orders. She returned with our drinks and said she would be out with our food when it was ready. We decided on the taco nacho's to share, it was plenty for the two of us, we both agreed the nacho's were better than across the boardwalk (no names mentioned). Of course our drink had to be 5 0'Clock Somewhere (very good choice). For everything that is going on in this WORLD, we appreciate the restaurants and everything that they are dealing with. Please be patient and give our servers and cooks a break, (they are doing the best with limited staff). It is not they're fault for what is going on..... We would recommend to others and will continue stopping in....

FANTASTIC! Food was amazing, service was great, atmosphere was awesome. Place was super clean and wait staff very pleasant. Right on the beach! I wish I tried it before our last day I would have been back a few times!!!

Went there Saturday night, 1/25. We ordered 2 drinks. Drinks came to us in a reasonable time. We placed our order (beef tacos and a beef stir fry) The food took a long time getting to us, a real long time. I got 3 tacos, that were kind of small, the salsa that came with the chips was bland. The stir fry was good. The Taco’s were ok, but I felt like Andre the Giant eating finger foods We were hoping to hear some music. The volume of the music was very low, you could only hear the thump of the base, coupled with the din of conversations and clanking of silverware, like a high school cafeteria. Kind of lame. Best thing about the place is the ocean view. Being that it was dark that was not a game winner.

We had to be wait listed and at 10.47 we received a text that our table is ready We went to host and was told we missed breakfast by 1 min. When wait lisited for breakfast we were told it was a 30 min wait which would have brought us past 11 am therefore we should have been told that we might missed breakfast .. Extremely disappointing

Horrible!!

ZERO STARS Checked in with confirmed text at 6:42pm,(only suppose to be a 40 min wait) 45 min later asked how much longer, all hostess' looked like deer's in headlights. (they gave our table away) Finally seated, another 45 min I told manager that if our food was not there in 5 min we were leaving. Food arrived exactly 5 min later and it was cold. Neither the Manager or our Waitress came over to see if everything turned out ok. We paid & left!! Music was also way to loud to enjoy dinner & be able to talk. Jimmy Buffet should RUN from any association of this place as the receipt claims it is Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville!!

Mediocre food that took well over an hour to arrive

We visited on a busy July Friday night and waited around 45 minutes for a table. We ordered promptly and then waited well over another hour for our food to arrive. Our server told us about 40 minutes into this wait that the kitchen was backed up but couldn’t give us any estimate of when we might be fed. They should have stated there was an issue right at the beginning before we ordered and we would have gone somewhere else . The surrounding tables were full of unhappy faces with no food. Many got up and left during their waits and the table next to us asked if they could eat our leftovers - they were so hungry. There was nothing offered as compensation for the wait - not even a free refil on the kids sodas. The food was really mediocre when it did arrive. I had the cod sandwich which was lukewarm and far more stodgy white bread than fish. My daughters turkey burger was dry and tasteless. The bill was very high for the quality of both food and service - and, of course, the server expected a nice big tip. I’d advise anyone to steer clear and find an alternative option on the Boardwalk.

Resorts does not have that many quick dining options other than the food court , which is good for pizza & the Soupman . We tried this place because Breadsticks had a long line and just missed the breakfast menu so we had burgers . You really have to have a decent burger at a place like this but it disappointed . First time I have had to add salt to a burger since I was a kid . Fries just ok - can’t recommend for burgers for sure

TERRIBLE SERVICE

The food was decent but the service was absolutely terrible. To start things off it took 8-10 minutes before our server even came over to the table to greet us/ get drinks. She was rude from the start. One person asked for nachos with meat/ cheese and toppings on the side. The server made it sound like that was the hardest request ever. A little later the manager comes out and says “we only have two cooks working, they messed up your order and put the meat/ cheese on the side and the topping on the nachos. Would you be okay with them like that?” She went on to make it seem that putting a few toppings in a bowl or two was just the end of the world. I was dumbfounded. My friend said to forget the toppings on the side and just for nachos with meat/ cheese. Her response “is there something you aren’t able to eat?” Again, dumbfounded. He wasn’t asking for you to go get something they didn’t have. He just wanted nachos without toppings, pretty simple. She again asked if he would take them messed up nachos saying it’d be even longer since there’s only two cooks. He said that was fine and she stormed off and went to the computer to put the order in pounding the screen. The food was decent but absolutely not worth the terrible service.

Horrible outside of the hosts and 1 manager

I want to start out by saying the host mikai and Virginia were EXTREMELY professional and rotated through guests very well and had great attitudes. The issue started once our order was taken. We were told it was going to take up to 45 minutes to get our food which we were fine with. After an hour and a half we finally get our appetizers and we ask our waitress to see how far along our food is. She comes back and says “they’re not even close to your order” we ask to speak with the supervisor as we’re waiting for the supervisor a table gets seated behind us. Finally the supervisor comes 20 mins later and says our food will be out in 10 mins and agreed that if it was not out in 10 mins that she’d (I believe her name was shareice, to describe her she had long blond goddess locks) would only charge us for the 1 drink we drank and our appetizers. 20 mins later, the table that came over an hour and a half after us that was seated behind us received their food so we decided to leave. When the supervisor brought us our bill she charged us for 4 drinks instead of the 1 drink we initially agreed on. A separate supervisor stepped in named Makeva who came to our aid in the situation and agreed to cover the changes. makeva was extremely helpful and professional and the only reason I’m giving this 2 starts instead of one is because of the professionalism that came from Makeva, Mikai, and Virginia. Everyone else we encountered was extremely unprofessional especially considering we left at 10:30 after being seated at 8 with nothing but 1 drink and an appetizer for 4 people.

Dinner by the ocean

First night in Atlantic City, NJ. After a short drive from central Jersey for a much needed getaway. After 3 months of lock downs in regards to Covid 19. We just got settled in at Courtyard by Marriott Ocean block. Decided to stroll onto the boardwalk looking for a place that had outside dining. Came across Landshark. Put ourselves on waiting list which was long unfortunately 1 1/2 hours. So we walked along the the beach to pass the time. Then still had more to wait, so sat on bench and watched people pass by also looking for a place to eat. Finally we were seated in in a table overlooking the bar area that had music playing with was extremely loud. Asked waitress Jessica if able to move a a quieter table. After she talked to management we were moved. Since there were social distancing going on there weren't many tables to use. Afterwards we enjoyed a delicious meal of fish and chips and cheese steak sandwich. Key lime pie to go. Food very good. Jessica was very pleasant and helpful. Definitely would recommend. But aware that if loud music is not your thing. Try a different place.

Still Beautiful - But Not As Good As It Once Was

The views from the outdoor seating area are great (even in October), and the whole "living on island time" vibe is still as great as it was when Landshark first opened. This time, the place was pretty much dead at 3 in the afternoon. Yet the service was pretty slow for the handful of tables that were occupied. Our server was nice and corrected mistakes, but the wait times made no sense for the amount of people that were there, and one dish was incorrect. The food is not 5-Star quality by any means, but it hit the spot. I had the Nachos, which were solid, and one of my guests had the shrimp (which was in his words: "terrible"). The seagulls and crows are still hanging around and provide some nice dinner entertainment. But I don't know, something about this visit just felt off. I didn't drink any alcohol so maybe this is why I didn't have such a wonderful time. I just feel a party of five with only entrees should not take a solid hour for food.

Great place! The staff was very accommodating. We requested a table on the deck overlooking the ocean and they gave it to us. The wait was long (45min to 1hr). The food was reasonably priced and tasted delicious.

WORST dining experience I have ever had in my LIFE

Came for dinner on a Tuesday evening at 6:45pm and was told there was a 15-20 minute wait for a table, gave phone number for notification. 2 minutes later was texted to come back to be seated. Came back and was shown to table. Server came and took drink orders, drinks were extremely tourist over priced (but was to be expected at boardwalk location). Drinks were served in small (not even medium sized) plastic cups. The cocktails were so watered down and unsatisfactory, that we all took a sip and left the drinks on the table to switch them out for something else. Ordered meals (two fish and chips with add on salads, one poke bowl with an add on salad and one dinner portion Caribbean chicken salad). We advised server the drinks were not acceptable and we wanted to switch them (never ever returned with replacement orders). Eventually a runner from the kitchen brought out 2 of our 3 meals (we asked that server to bring us silverware as we had nothing to eat with) when he came back with the 3rd meal. 15 minutes went by and no 3rd meal or silverware came. Went to Host station to request silverware and was given 3 take out style plastic packages with napkin and plasticware) For a $200 dinner, this is unacceptable. After waiting another 30 minutes (2 hours total) we left cash on table, walked in to advise manager we were leaving to find a meal elsewhere to which instead of a heartfelt apology, an offer to "run a bill" for what was already consumed would be printed out... We said cash is on table for server and we didnt consume anything and are leaving. Absolutely awful experience, would never ever go here or recommend that anyone else does either.
