It's restaurant week on the Jersey Shore; so, I took advantage of the opportunity to sample the cuisine at the Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten. I had not gone sooner because the word of mouth feedback that I received was mixed. Based on my first experience,...More

The food is fantastic and the beer list is endless. Local beers such as Kane from Ocean Twp. to traditional German beers on draft. The pretzel and mussels can't be beat. Also lots of daily specials. It gets crowded so call ahead

Stopped in for a relaxing beer en route to dinner at Moonstruck (located next door). Hubby was in Germany many years ago and said that being here feels like you are transported to a biergarten in Germany. We were there on a Saturday in October....More

Never in my life have I been made to feel so unwelcome and discriminated against in a public establishment. I recognize that I live a life of privilege that I can say that I've never felt that way before, however, I can honestly say that...More

Great spot on the roof to grab a dink and people watch. Staff was attentive and the beer nice and cold on a hot summer day.

You ought to drink a great deal of beer before ordering any food. The only decent thing my table of five ordered was a pretzel. The sausages were tasteless, the so called weinersnitchel ( pork not veal) could be mistaken for cardboard and the potato...More

Third time celebrating Octoberfest with the excellent entertainment of the Alex Meixner Band. Enjoyed seasonal beers outside under the tent and then went inside for dinner. It wasn’t crowded inside or out for a Sunday evening. However, servers inside were understaffed so it took really...More

When you come to the place, you see a Pretty cool old rustic warehouse looking building. The location is great! Plenty of parking in the area. Very rustic with modern. Hostess would be one of the only things I would change, she is a very...More

Slightly overwhelmingly large industrial space, designed (I think) to resemble a German beerhall for the Oktoberfest! We were attracted by the promise of a variety of artisanal beers. The drinks menu delivered on that promise, and our waitress new each of the offerings in detail,...More

Description
Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten brings an authentic biergarten experience to Asbury Park, a tradition that Europeans have enjoyed for centuries - communal tables where friends and strangers mingle in a lively, friendly atmosphere, energized by a regular schedule of live music. The establishment features a 9,000 square foot outdoor rooftop Biergarten and 6,000 square foot indoor hall. We pour 31 premium draft beers and serve over 60 bottles, including American craft beers. The menu is classic biergarten fare with a focus on comfort foods from Austro-Hungaria, flavorful and perfectly executed by Executive Chef James Avery.
