Over priced under seasoned mediocre food. I don't mind paying when it's good quality food but this was a complete waste of my time and money. I can't believe these people have the nerve to call this a cuban restaurant. The rice and beans had no flavor, my octopus salad was just a little bit of lettuce and 3 small... More

Stopped in with a friend early Saturday evening and sat in the bar. We had a few appetizers and drinks to start our evening. The empenadas were delicious and the drinks were reasonably priced. I would go back to this place for dinner if I find myself in Asbury Park again.

Fifth and last time coming here. Asked for a Cuban coffee. Received Luke warm regular coffee with. Been here 30 min, , bar is not clean, tables behind us still not clean. We are locals and enjoy Asbury and the local Merchants, obviously this merchant has no oversight. Disappointed Spaniard..

I don't have high expectations for eateries along a boardwalk and usually patronize these for drinks and if need, small meal/snack. That is what we did at Cubacan. Dining al fresco with a great view of the boardwalk, beach and ocean on a perfect sunny fall day. It is at the beginning of the Asbury Park boardwalk (near the Casino).... More

I am a local guy to this area. This type of food is my favorite. This place continues to disappoint me every time. From a menu that lacks in flavor to bartenders that have no clue how to make the specialty drinks on the menu my advice is pass.

Arrived Sunday night and few boardwalk restaurants were open off-season. The restaurant was spacious but loud music. The staff was attentive. But my husband had the paella ($28-30), bland and chewy. My pork entree with black beans and rice ($28) was also bland. Disappointing.

We went here to celebrate our anniversary. Our reservation had been misplaced, but the hostess kindly seated us right away anyway. That's where our positive ratings stop. Our server was hard to locate throughout our visit. Specialty cocktails were served in water glasses! We ordered appetizers and entrees that our server recommended. Croquettas were a disappointment; the churrasco (skirt steak)... More

Had the hardest time with the menu. Ended up with two small appetizers and scotch size drinks for $45. Left and went elsewhere for dinner. It's good if you like loud, contemporary, and very small amounts of food.

The food is good. Portions aren't huge. Service was ok. It is very noisy and you really need a reservation.

Stopped here for lunch on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The food was excellent and drinks hit the spot. Location, location, location. The ocean is right across the "Boards" making for a perfect backdrop.
