About
Featuring New American Cuisine, our chef highlights fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients. Helping to feed the "Farmer to Chef" trend, local markets are key ingredients in our menu at the Hotel Tides. The whimsical, intricately detailed tin ceiling and walls, dating back to the 1920's –demanded a ten month renovation, showcasing the cultural heritage and history in modern day Asbury Park.

Should have learned our lesson the first three times—this place is a nightmare of attitudes, miserable staff and poor management. Unprofessional is generous, sadly, as this place has boundless potential and is being run—and drank—into the ground by the staff. Last time on a $200...More

A tad bit off the beaten path but close enough to Convention Hall. Within walking distance. When you walk inside you notice the homey yet elegant atmosphere. The dining room is comfortable. The drinks are very good. We had the bacon wrapped scallops(made to perfection)...More

Six of us went this past weekend and while the food was very good the portions were microscopic. Each protein came with 2-3 tablespoons of mashed potatoes or root vegetables or risotto. Way Too little for the price - you will leave hungry. Noisy loud...More

I can’t believe that I never tried this place before. I will be a regular now. Great menu which changes seasonally. Everyone in our group of 7 truly enjoyed our time here. Outstanding mussels appetizer and the halibut special was superb.

We had the worst dining experience ever. OBNOXIOUS WAITER AND VERY BAD FOOD. From the appetizer to the entree our food was like eating cafeteria prepared meals. Each time the waiter served our food, he would place the plate on the table and say, "DELICIOUS."...More

A wonderful appetizer (salad) and then a requested medium rare beef tenderloin was ruined by being served well done. The kitchen seemed annoyed that I noticed. I am actually quite sorry that I cannot recommend this establishment - but I don't.

Came in for the new menu, liked the split pea soup and the short ribs. The paella was not a favorite at the table. Many people thought it smelled off and the sausage was not good in it.

Made a reservation for my family of four for celebrate my wife's birthday. Walked in for our dinner and immediately smelled a musty smell that reminded us of a bumble bee can of tuna. Unfortunately, that musty smell was also prevalent in the dining area....More

Dressy casual. Some women wear dresses. Not too many men in jeans. Not a tie and jacket place.
