This is where I go for breakfast when I'm in Cartagena. It has one of the best pandebonos I've had during my years of traveling Colombia. The other options are fine (the ajiaco turnover is OK if you like trying new things). But the pandebonos...are the clear stars here, as the name of the place implies.More

The pastries are good, juice is terrific. One of the attendants was really sympathetic. But the lady in the cashier was rude as a bull. She totally ignored me when I tried to order the first time, and she did it again when I tried...to pay.More

As a Trip Advisor DESTINATION EXPERT for Colombia with 30 years of visits and now living 4 years in Medellin and exploring just about every city large and small - it is my pleasure to provide this reasoned and accurate review of La Esquina Del...Pandebono. As our hotel was right around the corner the location of this place could not be more convenient. As this visit was post virus lock down and so face masks and temp checks are now the norm the cafe had good safety protocols implemented. The service at the counter was quick and friendly. The coffee was served piping hot and the quality is great. We relaxed our feet enjoying the coffee and getting out of the rain for some needed dry off time. The shop is kept clean and organized and I will return on my next visit to Cartagena.More

The best pandebono in town. You just have to pass by, grab some pandebonos for breakfast, and keep wandering through the old city. Those pandebonos are delicious!

Coffee is fine otherwise all the pastries that they sell are not fresh. They warm it up before they will sell it to you. Warming up a buñuelo, a deep fried dough ball which is supposed to be crispy, is an insult to this awesome...colombian pastry. Not sure how this place has a 4.5 star rating.More

We went to this place every day of our trip once we discovered it! The pan de bonos were incredible and the juice were wonderful. Try all the different juices, they are so authentic and worth every penny (our favorites were the mango and papaya)....This place is very cheap and great for a snack or breakfast or after dinner snack. It is open 24/7 and perfect for anytime during the day! Make sure to go to this place.More

I wanted everything they offered. Everything was Delicious! Rather hot in the few sit down places in the cafe. I took my selections across the street to the little park. You may get your juice mixed without milk if you are lactose intolerant.

We ate breakfast here every morning. I think we tried almost every type of pastele they had. My husband even got up at 500a the morning we were leaving to get pastries to go. We took them through airport security with us. My kids loved...the sweet pasteles (chocolate and arequipe). I loved the cubano and the pollo. The bocadilla and queso were also incredible. I am seriously hungry just thinking about it. Do yourself a favor and try this place!More
