Delicious seafood, great service. The shrimp ceviche was our favorite. The octopus and fish were excellent too.

We went to La Perla one night to get away from red meat. Called them literally 2 hours prior and got their last table - not without effort as the person I first spoke to said they did not understand English but referred me to...someone else when I said reservation. So we arrive and could tell we got the last table because it was small, towards the back and closest to the kitchen and bathroom and next to the stack of stackable chairs. No biggie - that's what happens when you don't plan all your dinners prior to going on a trip. So we sit and peruse the menus and get drinks. I got a pisco sour-like drink and Abe got a martini-like drink. Both good. We then ordered dinner and got the ceviche and an oyster app. Both were delicious - tangy and zesty. Abe was on a vegetarian kick so he ordered the soup and I got the catch of the day which came with some local shrimp. Food was good and service was good despite the language barrier. Will it be the best meal of your life? No. But do I recommend? Yes.More

Our meal at La Perla was, without a doubt, one of the best meals we’ve ever had!!! We started with the grilled octopus appetizer, which was so tender and tasty. For our entree we had the seafood ravioli. The ravioli was was perfectly cooked. The...sauce amazing! Cannot say enough about how absolutely superb this meal was. We had to speak to the chef to thank him. The drinks were good, the service was great, and waiters very attentive. The prices reasonable. Highly recommend this restaurant!!More

My wife and I had a lovely dinner at this restaurant. We started with the tiradito, which was sublime. The shrimp raviolis were also very good. The slow-cooked pork was very flavorful, though the skin was a bit tough. The service was excellent from start...to finish.More

This is a relatively small restaurant that specializes in fresh fish. Service was attentive and helpful. Our fish was very tasty, definitely recommend the stuffed squid.

La Perla was the best meal we had in Cartagena. This lovely restaurant has amazing fresh fish options. I wish I could remember what I had but I can't find a menu on line. I do know they have meat options for the non-fish eaters....The words I would use to describe the whole experience, great location, lovely restaurant, great service, interesting dishes.More

This restaurant has lots of good reviews for a reason. The food is absolutely delicious!!! We enjoyed it so much the first time, we came back again. The staff here is also very very friendly and very accommodating as well. This was our favorite of...all the places that we ate in Cartagena.More

Could not have been happier with our meal. Perfect, American style martini started the evening off right (although the olive accompanying it was not to my taste). Ceviche (fish and shrimp combo) was firm and tasty. A dinner special (forgive my ignorance and bad memory...for not remembering what it is called) was sort of a Peruvian paella with great seafood. Wine by the glass was extremely limited but my red was fine.More

No, there is not a dress code. Almost all restaurants in Cartagena do not have a dress code. You can go even wearing shorts or bermuda shorts.
