Location and contact

VERA offers an authentic italian coastal menu in a 60-seat restaurant and lounge set within Mansion Tcherassi Hotel’s historic colonial house and interior lush garden. Indoors, the restored, original 300 year old stone wall stretches up to the distinuished wood ceiling and beams made from rescued Colombian Guayacan and Ceiba. Modern mirrors adorn the backlit wall in a unique contrast that reflects the activity throughout the space and brings the outside in with vivid reflections of the lush garden waiting outside. Dress Code is casual elegant; men have to wear long trousers and collar shirt

I see the bad reviews and would suggest those folks go to Alma and see what is really bad. This place is stunning, yes the service is Colombian slow, and the food is delicious. We were here 3 years ago and hurried to return on...More

The “Italian” food here is terrible. Risotto was undercooked and had no flavor. Ravioli was just jar pasta sauce inside of pasta. Atmosphere is pretentious, staff doesn’t seem like they care. Worst meal I had in Cartagena

I had already had a bad experience here two years ago, but decided to give them another chance. There will be NO more chances after this visit! We were a group of 12 adults. When we called to make a reservation, we were told that...More

The place is very nice but the food it’s not special and compared with other restaurants we visited it’s very overpriced for the quality and quantity of the food. Maybe because we ordered fish and it’s an Italian restaurant. The mash potatoes that came with...More

The restaurant looked beautiful from outside and inside but the main courses were disappointing and not good value. Our server was excellent and very efficient but sadly the food let the place down.

It's a very attractive restaurant and we had dinner here during our last night in Cartagena. We found the service to be very poor and the food to be ok. It looks like a very fancy restaurant and the tables are filled. I liked everything...More

To repeated, for sure! Well located, hidden in the small streets of the old town of Cartagena. Nice decorated by S. Tscherassy, is a must, try the linguini with Saint Jacques and truffle butter. Or Spaghetti Pomodore all fresh and tasty, the tiramisu is ok...More

Beautiful setting. Chic, modern vibe. Excellent food. Wonderful Italian menu. Delicious lunch. Favorite meal in Cartagena so far. However, the service could use some improvement. We arrived at 1pm and we waited close to 25 minutes to be seated and the restaurant was 75% empty....More

We spent already a week in beautiful Cartagena and every night visited different restaurants. ‘Vera’ restaurant is surely our worst experience. See for yourself: 1. We ordered White wine under ‘Vino blanco’ and received Red wine. As we learned later, there is a mistake in...More
