I came here due to the reason I got rid of the Chinese food taste :-) and got disappointed... had a burger... good patty (although they did it medium without asking - but that's how I like it) but terrible bun... not cheap... not worth to take a long trip to get there.. if it's around the corner just try... Diner 22 is a favorite. Offers great food and atmosphere, and the thing is.. it hasn't changed. Quality and taste in the restaurants of Qingdao changes everyday, nothing is ever consistent. So much to the point that when something good opens up people are always like "we better try it before it changes" I have lived in Qingdao for a... More

Staying in China for 6 weeks I really wanted a taste of home, and I found it! Don't get me wrong I really LOVE Chinese food. Service was perfect as well as the waiters English, so he had no trouble with recommendations or explanation of menu items. We shared everything and started with a delicious salad with house dressing. This... More

Their burgers are amazing and huge. They literally (yes, I know what literally means) melt in your mouth. My wife gets their salads and loves them.

This restaurant is a favourite of expats offering genuine hamburgers and pasta. Perhaps because the decor is not outstanding, it is being taken over by new restaurants nearby. However, if you want a tasty hamburger, this is the place.

The place is kind of hard time find. But once you made it is worth the trip. We had a salad, pasta and a burger. All was very good. The service was fast and friendly. If you look for decent western food this is the place that go.

If you are hungry and you don't want to go wrong on your food for an hour lunch break, it is best to go to The Diner 22. My favorite is pesto pasta. You need to walk in an alley to get to the place though. ;)

We had tried to get into the highly rated Trattoria Verdi, but it was shut on the day we visited (during Chinese National Holiday). Diner 22 is next door and it was definitely our second choice but no regrets - the place is excellent. Staff were friendly, helpful and all appeared to speak good English. The menu was varied and... We went 4 times to the one in the city center. It was always a pleasure. Excellent food, focused menu with a dish for every palate. We will definitely be regulars. Highly recommended.

Diner now has 3 locations in QD, May 4 Square, Marina City and Taigu square. quality and service has been uneven, ordered food does not arrive as described on menu, menu shows a 500ml beer, and instead given a 250ml at same price, etc...Betty, at Taigu at least addressed these issues. Regarding food, burgers always seem undercooked, go to canvas... More
