it is an ok bar, but not really that much in terms of food. I have only tried the old menu. IT does do many interesting events but no one would go there for the food.

Stopped in while in Suzhou and we ordered a couple burgers from the western style menu. Had to send them back as they were raw inside. But they quickly took them back and tried again. Wait staff were very nice and English books line the walls as a lending library for patrons. Very quiet afternoon when we visited but apparently... More

I have been here a couple times, the food has always been good and workers a very friendly. Last time I went they had local microbrews on tap; this was very unique and some of the local bars could take a lesson here.

Set in a very pleasant area, near a canal in the Old town area of Suzhou. It's more of a light snack bar than a restaurant. The menu is decent with a varied selection of food on offer. What did let it down was my friends had finished there food before mine was served

This is a nice place. The orices are a little high, but the food is good. Tons of books for one to curl up and ready to ride out a rainy Sunday. The resident cat is very affectionate and may even curl up with you.

Was in here on a weekday evening. The place was very quiet and had nothing going on. It's got a huge selection of books to read though and is certainly a good spot to go if you want to have a drink and read. The food was not great though. Burger wasn't properly cooked and the hummus wrap had no... More

The Bookworm in Suzhou is a true gem. A great place to hang out, read and eat great food. What makes this place great is its ambiance and friendly staff. The Bookworm is all about a relaxed vibe and few places in Suzhou do it as good as these guys.
