If you want a break from the local Chinese food this is a good western style place. If you did not know you were in Xiamen you would think you were at any other Mexican restaurant in the USA. The food was good. I had the fajitas and they were tasty. The margaritas are excellent. The staff is attentive. They... More

This joint is owned by a local Chinese lady who is married to a foreign man. Her brother pretty much runs the place and you can see him on his bicycle or doing something sporty when there are not too many guests in the house. The preserved carrots they served as an FOC starter is yummy and I am a... More

I stopped here for dinner and was not disappointed. The staff was very friendly, the menu was well composed with plenty of temptations, and the drinks were general tried and tested crowdpleasers. I had prawn taco and it was simply delicious.

This restaurant is near Marco Polo Hotel Xiamen, the location is great and easily accessible by public transport. Although the Mexican food served is not fully authentic, they has a good favor of their own. The normal Mexican burritos, nachos are all available. Owner: Tiffany is always adding new items to the menus as she learnt how to make them.... More

What an incredible restaurant!!!!! I would put this up against any Mexican Restaurant I have ate at in the world. The dishes are all authentic, and the flavored outstanding. We usually go as a group 4 to 8 people, and we order several dishes from the menu and then share. The Margaritas are made from fresh ingredients and they do... More

went for lunch....selected the roasted chicken quesadilla 's and a cold beer. Then severed 4 little sized pieces that were thin a paper - micro-size pieces of chicken. $6 US plus the beer was another $4.....left hungry. It was my first US style meal in over a month....so I was not surprised... I have eaten at the best Chinese restaurants... More

I am sorry for your disappointment with our restaurant and "tries to be Tex Mex" and i am also disappointed that you did not give us a proper chance for the claim of Tex Mex due to writing a review simply based on a single item only. I invite you to return and it is my treat to offer you... More

I've been here a few times and can't say it's anything to rate. It depends what you order as to your experience. Some meals leave you with a layer of fat on the roof of your mouth, some have a fair amount of msg including the rim of margaritas. But some of the salads aren't so bad.

Stumbled across this Mexican restaurant behind our hotel in Xiamen. Wasn't too interested in the local fare, so thought we'd give this a try. Found the Coyote to have excellent service, food and drink. It also seems very popular with Brit ex-pats. We later found out that one of work colleagues knew Tiffany (the owner) of old, and we sampled... More
