We had an enjoyable late lunch here on our first day in Punta Arenas. The place is quirkily furnished with various knickknacks on the walls and shelves. We had hoped to have a beer but they had run out so opted for wine instead, which was lovely. To eat, we each had what could be best described as a toastie / panino, which were delicious and plentiful. Service was a bit hit and miss to begin with, as the staff were preoccupied with tending to some American cruise passengers who were hellbent on paying in US$ at a rate of their choosing!

Good place for afternoon or early evening sandwiches, beer or pisco. Food is hearty and environment is friendly and warm, especially when it is cool outside. We stopped here on two separate cruises. A great place to go to get away from ship food.

Wandering the streets looking for somewhere to eat. Attracted to this place by the decor. A nice vibe inside. Good was tasty and portion sizes were big. 12,000 pesos for a main meal and drink seemed pretty good value

Café Tapiz is located in the centre of Punta Arenas. The café offers coffees, pastries, sandwiches & lunch. A relaxed atmosphere and good coffee define its character. Free Wi-Fi. On a Monday afternoon in November we spotted the café while walking in Punta Arenas and went for a coffee & cake. The place was busy, but not overpacked, a good sign. We went for cappuccino & cake and espresso & a large piece of tart. The coffee was good and the cake was nice. Service is adequate and friendly. Café Tapiz is fine for anyone who seeks a good coffee.

After a walk around the area we stopped here for bite to eat. We had avocado & toast, beer & Pisco sour. Sat upstairs - quiet & relaxing. Nice vibe. Good service. Easy to find. Thanks

A delicious café in Punta Arenas. You want to try everything. I opted for a hot chocolate (yummy!) and a toast with avocado and ham (soooo tasty). But the cakes are also worth trying... I'd love to go back...

Generous portions of very good cake enough for 2 to share and coffee at decent prices. Pretty interior.

We stopped by for a quick bite in the evening. Had scrambled egg sandwich and orange-carrot juice. Both were nice. Service is friendly and efficient and the place looks very interesting

The place offers a varied although somewhat limited menu. The salmon and cream cheese salad was quite good. It is cozy with a lot of wood. Not unreasonably loud.

This sweet little spot was right near our hotel and we popped in for a quick lunch (and later takeout dinner). The fresh juice and milkshakes were great and the rest of the food was really solid. We had a pasta, a flatbread sandwich, and later churrasco. All yummy. They had a highchair for my toddler. I wish they'd been open as we left town on Sunday.

Adequate food, but expensive for what it was compared to other restaurants around. Staff spoke very limited English despite the menu being half English. One waitress was rude and we had to continually go to the counter for service and the bill, rather than table service.
