Great food. Price is fair enough for the quality of service and food. Clean. Fast. Efficient. Courteous people. The best in town! Highly commendable!

We were traveling on a freighter and had a port stop in Angamos. With an extra day to wander, we elected to get ourselves to Antofagasta. Made a reservation for lunch on-line. Great and fast service. The ship's itinerary was a little unstable, and Amares gave us much leeway. When we arrived, the place was nearly empty and we wondered... More

This probably is the top table in town. Testament to that was my visit on a Tuesday, for a full house and by-reservation-only tables. Nice place. Posh menu. Good wine list. However, being the best in town does not meant there is no room for improvement....a large gap here in between actual and potential. Noisy place (as other mention), it... More

Very chique restaurant. Good food, nice staff. They have a lot of different wines and can advise you about the one that best suits your dish.

Nothing exceptional from the outside or from the décor on the inside. But once you start talking to the server, in our case Francisco, the experience starts. His explanation in English are very clear and being from northern Chile he understands and explainers very well what concept of Costafusion is and how it is reflected in the cuisine. The food... Walking distance from the Holiday Inn hotel. Good food with some waiters speaking English, may be an idea to book in advance for a better seat

If you happen to ge in Antofagasta, Chile, either on business or pleasure, treat yourself to Amares. The place is one of the best places I've been in Chile, and I've been to places. Make a reservation, you almost have to, get there by cab, ask for their pisco sour or amares sour, and go for the menu. We were... More

Service was impeccable ! The waiter was very professional knowledgeable and was hilarious. He knew his stuff well, he even guessed the nationalities of the visitors in the group! and a soccer game was on between Chile and the waiter's home country of Colombia - we had so much fun !!!! The food was simply delicious and only made it... More

Excellent atmosphere. Need reservation. Quality of food probably the best in Antofagasta. Not cheap, but definitely worth it

This is -hands down- the best place to have dinner (or lunch, as it opens at noon as well) in Antofagasta. Strong flavors and significant influence from the peruvian cuisine makes Amares a true winner. I particularly recommend the crunchy causas, the seared tuna with sweet potato and the tiradito de los dioses.
