We just didn't realise before going to Siem Reap that there were restaurants of this quality here. Fabulous french colonial building with a classic cocktail bar and courtyard restaurant areas. Food and service was truly first class and we were so lucky to be recommended...to it by our concierge at the J7 hotel.More

Oh my, Malis! This was definitely one of the fancier meals we ate while in Siem Reap and they surpassed our high expectations. The team here was amazing, warm, and welcoming. To begin, we ordered a few cocktails prior to ordering food. They were delicious!...Even though we like to enjoy our cocktails for a bit before ordering dinner, we could wait no longer; the menu was too enticing. First up, we ordered one of their signature dishes, Royal Mak Mee, per the server’s recommendation. The dish consists of crispy fried noodles topped with pan-fried sliced pork, marinated in Kroeng and fragrant lemongrass, and slowly cooked in coconut milk. First of all the presentation is absolutely phenomenal. The crispy noodles and main dish contents are brought to the table, each separated. The pan-fried sliced pork is poured over the crispy noodles in front of you, followed by the rest of the dish and mixed together for one of the most delicious dishes we have had in Cambodia. If they only served this, we would be back time and time again. Second, was the traditional Khmer dish, Fish Amok. The dish is made with goby fish fillets marinated in lemongrass curry paste and steamed in a banana leaf basket. When it comes to the table it is presented in what looked like a longtail boat centerpiece. Served with steamed rice, the dish was an amazing share between the two of us. After dinner, we finished the evening with a B52 cocktail which came to the table with a burning blue flame. It was so rich we had to share it despite how tiny it is. We definitely recommend dining here when in Siem Reap. We will surely be back on our next visit!More

What a place. We had a reservation for 8 o'clock. Drinks, starters, main dishes and desserts were perfect. Well attended. Cambodian flavors really surprised us. Fried rice noddles with chicken are wonderful, the crab as starter and creme brullé with green pepper seeds. Definitely you...have to go twice if you can.More

I thought this restaurant was absolutely beautiful and the food was amazing. I sat in the courtyard and it felt like I was dining in a world class museum! The smoked fish and mango salad was an explosion of flavors, and the darian fruit, pepper...and coconut scoops of ice cream was a treat. While this restaurant was pricer than the average Cambodian restaurant, it was five star and the food is definately worth it. I would highly recommend enjoying a meal at this establishment!More

We sat in the beautiful courtyard, it started so well. We were given a small welcome drink and pickles. We order the crispy crab which was greasy for starter, before we could finish they brought the main which was the chicken curry wrapped in banana...leaf. Looked lovely but hardly any chicken in it, mainly chicken slimy skin. We were rushed. Did not enjoy. Would not go back.More

My wife and I ate here and throughly enjoyed the food, so please don't take my headline as being too critical. When you eat here, you're paying more than you'd pay at many places in Siem Reap and you know this from the minute that...you walk up to the incredibly grand building and front door! The interior is very 5* grand, spectacular even in its own way, but somehow it just felt a little too corporate for me. The food is, without doubt, well prepared and served. The service was friendly. We chose to share a la carte dishes to approximately the same value as their tasting menu, which we thought was a good call so that you can try what you want. That said, portions are quite generous and we certainly over ordered by probably a dish or two! We shared their takeo sausage, then scallops and green peppers both of which were excellent. We then had Mchou seafood, vegetable amok (a bit bland), fish amok (very tasty), then finished with saraman beef and crab fried rice. We later went to their sister restaurant in Phnom Penh (which we preferred) and were disappointed to discover they have the same menu in both. Perhaps some little regional differences would have been beneficial. All in all, it came to £75 plus drinks and tip for two, which is a lot in Siem Reap. It's good, I'd certainly not try to dissuade anyone from eating here but we found two other 'high end' restaurants in town (reviewed separately elsewhere) that we personally preferred.More
