About
The first restaurant in Siem Reap that serve dinner as a la cart and individual personalize set menu with daily evening Cambodian traditional dance show or the Apsara show from 7.30pm until 8.30pm. It is a rice to riches story for owner Por whose name proudly stands out on the shingle. In 1983 Por had a vision of owning a fine dining restaurant. He started by opening a humble kiosk serving his traditional noodle creations to the people of Siem Reap. His simple dish became an essential part of the community food chain, a taste that made his family well known and celebrated. Now 30 years later, the dream and the flavours have come to life. The family tradition continues but with a state of the art modern classic restaurant design and an exciting array of enticing flavours from both the East and the West. Por Cuisine also serves individual set lunches, dinners, many choices of Ala cart menu and personalized catering for big or small incentive group and can include DAILY traditional APSARA dance show 07.30PM to 08.30PM in the tropical fresh air and green garden landscape. The venue is popular with both locals and international visitors. The restaurant was formally opened in January 2014 and the design, fit-out and facilities would not be out of place in one of the upmarket. A new addition to this sophisticated food scene is Por Cuisine, a contemporary fine dining restaurant with a fusion theme. East meets West is a hackneyed phrase this is more your pot pouri of traditional Khmer, Asian and international fare. Presented as a four course experience that will challenge your taste buds and create a lasting impression for a reasonable price. The design, fit-out and facilities would not be out of place in one of the upmarket burroughs of New York with the modern fully equipped and fully functional kitchen complete set kitchen is overseen by some of the young guns of the Cambodian culinary scene. It features all day dining and includes as well as the choice order of set menu, buffets, cocktail receptions, gala dinners sit-down and dinner themes. Por Cuisine has a capacity up to 160 seats and 300 people for a stand up finger food reception.

On the last night of our holiday we went to Porcuisine for dinner. The location is a small theatre with table seating that meant the meal was served at the same time as the show was performed, this made it difficult to do both at once. The show itself was interesting and well performed but not really of great interest to me.

Por Cuisine delivers a delightful culinary journey through Khmer flavors, offering both exceptional food and an immersive cultural experience. The dishes are expertly prepared, with bold, authentic flavors and fresh ingredients, making it a must-visit dining spot in Siem Reap. Khmer Set Menu 1 starts with a flavorful Coriander & Palm Chicken Skewer with peanut butter sauce and a refreshing Cambodian Crunch Salad, followed by a tangy River Prawn Soup with lemongrass and sweet-sour broth. The main course features tender Braised Pork Ribs with Green Baby Bok Choy, served alongside fragrant Steamed Jasmine Rice. Dessert offers a light and satisfying trio of Ice Cream, Fresh Fruit, and a Crispy Sesame Roll. Khmer Set Menu 2 begins with crispy and savory River Prawn with mayonnaise sauce and the crunchy Cambodian Salad, followed by a rich and aromatic Spiced Coconut Chicken Soup. The main dish is the standout Angkor Chicken Wraps with young Kampot pepper and tamarind sauce, accompanied by Steamed Jasmine Rice. Dessert is a classic Mango Sticky Rice, perfectly balancing sweetness and texture. The cultural show is an enchanting highlight, featuring traditional performances that bring the local culture to life. The elegant Blessing Dance and graceful Apsara Dance showcase Khmer heritage, while the energetic Fisherman Dance and Khmer Martial Arts offer vibrant displays of movement and skill. This blend of food and culture creates a truly memorable experience at Por Cuisine.

We had a great time at por cuisine . Although the overall dinner wasn’t cheap - The restaurant had a great setting , service was spot on (a rare thing IMHO in Siem reap ) and food at large was very nice . The only letdown was my main (grilled mackerel and hence why it’s 4 stars as opposed to 5 )but the rest of the dishes were spot on . The added apsara dance topped of a great night .

Abusive prices: coffee 3$, Cambodian beer 620cl 6$. KEEP AN EYE ON THE CARD PRICE at the end and tax and tip apply. Normal food, the same dishes you find for $3 and more abundant. We were taken to eat the tour guide operator and only had to pay for the drink, the total of 2 beers and two coffees = 18$. The night before we had dinner with similar food, coffees, drinks and cocktails for $16. Avoid going even if invited

Arranged by our tour company, we had a set menu of Cambodian food which was tasty. All the seats have good views of the raised stage. The show featured 8 female and 3 male dancers doing traditional Cambodian dances. This was complimented with a 3 piece live band also with traditional instruments.

Nice ambience/environment...has a nice cambodian traditional performance with dancers moving to traditional live music. Food is pretty good and size appropriate so you don’t overeat. The restaurant donates $0.50 for every customer who dines to Charity Program of Angkor Hospital for Children.

This was the best of the dinner shows we went to in Siem Reap. It is not housed in such a magnificent building as some of the others but that just makes it seem more intimate. The food was excellent and the Apsara dancing very well executed and gives one a real feel for the culture. Its nice that this restaurant is affiliated with the CDHO charity so one feels one is helping in a small way by dining there

I have to say that I really can't remember what I ate [although I cleared my plate so must have been good] as I was so fascinated by the super Cambodian dance performances on the stage in front of me. I understand that the performers are students gaining work experience and the opportunity to earn a little money. The restaurant donates 50 cents, for every customer, to a local hospital. for children.

The food, service, atmosphere, and show were wonderful and everyone performed spectacular. This place supports a wonderful community of people. We could enjoy many traditional dances, not just Apsara! If you are thinking of going to a dinner show in Siem Reap, look no further!

Thre prime reason for goinf here is clearly the dance presentation, which includes some Cambodian flok and temple dances. This is for sure nice. The food is ok, but nothing to remember. But the reason for going here is the dancing.
