A dear friend, who recently moved back to Siem Reap after living there for 6 months in 2019, took my friend and I to this place for dinner on our first night back in town (this was our third trip to Siem Reap). The restaurant is a little more off the beaten path than those near Pub Street, which was a welcomed reprieve for sure.
The interior isn't fancy but it's very clean, comfortable, spacious and the people who work there are friendly. We ended up returning a second night it was so good.
For food, I am a huge Lok Lac fan so I tried their beef version with rice. The meat was perfectly cooked and the flavors were on point. The signature pepper sauce was also quite tasty. I also had their Fried Lemongrass Beef with Longbeans. This was also a very flavorful, and filling, dish.
From a price standpoint, this restaurant comes in less expensive than those closer to the heart of town so you can save some money. We stayed at the Viroth's hotel on Street 24 and could walk there in 15 minutes (at a slow pace).
I would definitely recommend this place to any visitors.

My partner and I ate here several times during our stay in Siem Reap and every
time we had fantastic service and food.
From the moment you step in the staff welcome you like part of the family!
They even remembered us and what we had previously joked about!
The food is great with a large menu to suit most tastes and an extensive vegetarian/vegan menu!
The prices are very good for the high standard of food so it's definitely worth the short walk from the main area of pub street.
I can't recommend this place enough! If your in Siem Reap do yourself a favour and stop by!

I have dined here a few times over the years and have found every visit enjoyable. Food is fresh and tasty. Staff are helpful, friendly and efficient. The beer (on tap) is cold - always a plus and the red wine is good. The Restaurant has undergone a refurbishment since last I was in Siem Reap- looks terrific. They have enlarged the eating space which was much needed as the restaurant was so busy there were times you had to form a queue outside to get a table. Definitely worth visiting!

I happened upon khmer grill because i'm staying nearby and the wanted to see if the reviews lived up to the hype.
they do.
vibe: you instantly can tell that this is a chill spot where travelers and locals alike eat. The owner, MR. CHIN, treats everyone like they've been coming here for years. As someone visiting from Canada, i instantly felt at home here. The staff also gave me tons of recommendations for things to do in the area and were very patient as I looked over the menu. there's plenty of tables if you're solo or with a big group, and since it's on a corner there's plenty of air flow and fans every where
the food: the menu has tons of options for the basic foreigner (steak wings, etc) but the real ones know to turn the pages and order from the middle pages. we're talking ants, frogs, and one of my favorite lok lak plates in the city so far (i've had lok lak at 5 different places so far). There is also ample vegetarian options (the morning glory was especially good). the mango sticky rice was incredible if you want to have dessert here as well. the breakfast menu isn't huge, however the options seemed enough to satisfy a variety of people (i got the cheese omelet) and was served with fruit and toast, filled me up for my walk
drinks: there's plenty of both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, and the prices are comparable to cheaper than some other places i've been to.
final verdict is that i try not to go to the same place twice when travelling (you got to try new things) and I come here almost every day.

Best food we’ve ever had! Absolutely delicious and the service was so good! Extremely speedy with drinks and food. Really good at adapting to your tastebuds and giving recommendations of their food which shows they really believe in their food.
We were in Siem Reap for 5 nights and we ate here 3/5 nights because the food was so good and the staff are so lovely. The first night we ate there the boss, Mr Chin, invited us to join their party which was so kind of them and we had a great time. Made our reoccurring visits even more special.
We will definitely come back here when we visit in the future and have made friends for life out of the staff there. Sovann was just amazing with us and amazing with everyone else. Chatting to all the customers like she already knew them. Mr Chin was super kind as well and so lovely giving us tips on what to go and where to go throughout the rest of our trip to Cambodia. He even gave us bananas for the road on our last night.
Just simply gorgeous! We miss you all so much and love you all.

Came here about 3 times while staying in Siem Reap as the food was delicious and great value and the service was great. The chicken burger is so tasty, it’s seasoned beautifully and is really tender. Good quality steak and chips and such reasonable prices. Service was quick and friendly.

Apart from the natural heat and the natives (mosquitoes) this place was great! The staff here made sure that we were comfortable, complete with good strong fans and mosquito repellents! They spoke great English and provided excellent service. They understood that tourists do not like to be ripped off. We both ate solid mains, sides and a couple of drinks within $20 - money well spent. And we ate here every day for 5 days! Come to siem reap and don’t forget to pay Khmer Grill a visit - you won’t regret the trip. We stayed at King Rock Boutique hotel which was 20 meters from this gem of restaurant.

Even though this place gets a lot of tourist traffic, I love this place (and I live in Siem Reap). I can only comment on one dish as I order it every time I come - the grilled fish! Mmmm, best prepared fish in town. Beware though, it takes 15-20 min to prepare and they’ll inform you of this but for sure well worth the wait. Service is good, setting is nice, location is good, price is average tourist restaurant price. Highly recommend.

Visited here with my family after a recommendation by our TukTuk driver, and we weren’t disappointed. We had a delicious beef Lok Lak, pad thai and other beef and basil dishes, complete with a mango sticky rice at super affordable prices of 2.50-4$. I tried Taro shake for the first time and it was great. Food and drinks came quickly, and the staff was really friendly and chatty. Would recommend :)

I really liked this place, the food was excellent and the staff very good. For the price they are charging I found it difficult to beat. In fact you could often pay twice as much for inferior quality food. Would reccomend the fish amok, could not get enough of this dish and no better than this restaurant.

Average food, good open space but waited one hour for an underwhelming whole fish which at 8$ didn’t even include salad. No apologies from the over confident waiter and we would not go back. Also note Star Bar opposite has very loud live music at 8pm.

Thanks for your comment! our team is well trained and they must have explained clearly that charcoal grill is slow and it takes at least 30 mns. Rather slow than raw grilled! it depends how busy is the kitchen is and Khmer food is full of ingredient's and it can take a much longer to cook!! About the Star Bar music, they once in a while play live band. We can not control them but more like a compliment to each other. Grill Fish image is shown on the menu and there is no side dish included. Side dish might cost you $1-$2 max. Hope this justify your comments.

We are in Siem Reap for four days and as always, the search for food can be perilous. We found Khmer Grill and not only was the food of an incredible variety, but our server, Carrot, was HILARIOUS. The avocado and cashew shakes were flavorful, thick, and brilliant. My buddy had fried frogs and is STILL raving about the crispy skin. I had cashew chicken and it was the perfect blend of savory, sweet, crispy and tender. So great!

If I could score this restaurant a 10- I would
The menu selection is amazing
The food is delicious
The prices are very reasonable
But the owner (Chin) & all his staff at this restaurant are what makes it so wonderful.
The service is second to none
We were made to feel welcome from the minute we walked in the door
Nothing is too much trouble for them
We ate there 6 nights out of 7 because of the wonderful food and atmosphere
A particular mention to Mr. Set who was always amazingly happy & his service & attention to all diners was impeccable
Also to Mr. Karrot, Miss Neta Sem & miss. Sak Serephoan . They all became to be like family & we will miss them all (& the food).

Decided to grab a Tuk Tuk and visit this place out based on Trip Advisor reviews. We grabbed a seat just outside and service was quick and efficient. Had a couple of beer and ordered our food and it arrived very quickly and hot. We both tried some simple Cambodia dishes and they were very good and reasonably priced! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. So many choices in Siem Reap but we were satisfied with our choice for sure!

I arrived and immediately had a fan positioned directly on me followed by a glass of iced water. Would I like a drink, yes please, a very cold beer arrived with a glass from the freezer and a complimentary bowl of nuts... total spend so far? $1.00
The menu is helpful with photos of all the dishes although the staff speak good english and are very helpful and knowledgeable.
I have been 4 times now and the food, which is reasonably priced, is excellent. Full of local flavours and zing. We are staying nearby for awhile yet and will continue to visit, you will not be disappointed if you try it.
Our waiter, Saad, remembers our names each time we come and is super efficient and pleasant. Mr Chin, the owner, is a very pleasant and welcoming host also.
I can recommend Khmer Grill to all.
