We created Il Forno in 2011 after many years dreaming of opening a traditional Italian Restaurant outside Italy where we would serve authentic Italian food like our grandmothers used to cook. The only addition to our grandmother's kitchen was the building of an original stone brick fire wood oven from where to make pizzas according to the southern italian tradition. We pride to import every single ingredient ( veggie & fruits aside)on our menu directly from Italy and to make all our food home made and fresh daily. Our fantastic team of chefs/cooks start their day very early to prepare our pizza dough that need 10/12 hours before its naturally risen and to prepare home made tagliatelle, tortellini , gnocchi and so on , exactly like we used to in Italy half a century ago.

Excellent pizza and Italian food.

We were 6 Canadians visiting Angkor Wat and needed a break of Asian cuisine. Great Italian food and delicious pizza. Would recommend to anyone on a budget.

We enjoyed some delicious authentic Italian pizza here. It's not the cheapest, but it is the tastiest! The service is good too. Highly recommend it!

Simple pasta and pizza choices executed really well. We had the pizza Bianco to start followed by Bolognese, it brought us back to Florence a very traditional meat sauce recipe. Highly recommend this place, just far away enough from the maddening crowd on pub street.

The restaurant is located inside an alley, the deco or setup is not impressive, but they serve good pizza. Will go back for the pizza.

We enjoyed pizza, stuffed ravioli and bolognaise out of a good menu selection. The wine by the glass selections were quite good as well. In the midst of the bustling Pub Street, and in view of people getting their feet massaged it was an interesting place to dine.

Loved the food! We had a pizza and the gourmet burger and both we delicious. Slightly more expensive than standard restaurants but you totally get what you pay for but as a one off treat this was awesome. The Tiramisu and Homemade Chocolate Mousse were to die for.

Even if you will not find local dishes, this place deserve the top score for quality of service, food and atmosphere. We got here the only good pizza we could find in town and a regular Italian salad without any spiced dressing...only olive oil and balsamic vinegar. After travelling between Thailand and Cambodia we could finally get some fresh and... More

With seven people we came for dinner and there were several things wrong with this place. Three dishes were sold out, they forgot one of our dishes ordered, the waiter was rude and loud, and they flipped the light switch in our face when they decided it was time for us to go. I won't come back here again.

The location, is a bit difficult to find and I wouldn't eat on the open street, but, inside the restaurant, it was very good. It is an extremely popular restaurant and we had excellent service, very good Italian food and wine. The ground level restaurant is too exposed to the sights and smells of the alley, but, inside, it's a... More
