Way overpriced for what you get. Steaks are way smaller that advertised. Not necessary to cut my meat for me. Claimed you were ordering steak fries that turned out to be just thicker regular long fries.
Had dinner with the extended family.
The starters were good, but that is not why you come to this meat temple. The steaks were large, grilled to perfection and earned applauds from around the table. The sides were OK, but nothing to wrote home about....One thing though, I'm not sure that it was because it was a weekend night, but the place felt packed and quite noisy. It seems that a table or two less in the dining hall would have raised the rating to excellent.
It's not a budget place to dine, but the quality of the steaks is definitely good value for your hard earned $$$.More
I had a surf and turf. Filet mignon just about melted in your mouth and the lobster tail was large and tasty with the drawn butter. It was cozy and although we had 20 people they were able to serve us efficiently and all the...food was hot. (And I found my glasses).More
Dinner was great. When asked the specials, they said everything is special which I thought was a good work around.
The mushrooms are to die for. They have a unique seasoning on them that we loved. The cream spinach is not the best, however they...took care of it right away with barely a word.
Great Service, fun and nice and attentive. Get the Mushrooms and sea bass. Steaks are cooked perfectly.More
I intended to bring my family here for dinner as a late Christmas gift on Sunday, January 6th. I called a week in advance and made a reservation for that date in which my name an phone number were presumptively written down somewhere. When my...family arrived at the restaurant, (after barely being able to park. Seriously, the parking is terrible. Good luck if you have an SUV) we were met at the door by a fraught looking woman who said the restaurant was closed and there was no way we could have a reservation because they were hosting an 80 person baby shower. After explaining that I had called in advance and made a reservation, the woman looked at us like we were crazy and went to get someone. After a minute or so, we were met at the door by a guy who made no attempt to explain how this could have happened and made no attempt to look into it. There was no attempt to accommodate us in any way and no offer to come back at another time. The man who spoke to us would not even let us take one step inside the door while he talked to us. I will not be bringing my business to this establishment, no matter how good it's supposed to be. There are plenty of other good steakhouses in the area that are able to properly make and keep reservations.More
My sisters and brothers, and myself met at the Allendale Steakhouse for a family reunion. I can't say enough good words to describe the ambiance, warm welcome and great food served here. The steaks were cooked to perfection, and it melted in our mouths like...butter.
Our waiter, and waitresses, we're polite, and accommodating to my brother's request for a keg of beer which we shared with everyone in the dining area. We had a great time, a wonderful reunion. We traveled many miles back to our hometown of many years ago, and it was well worth it. Thank you.More
I visited this restaurant with a group of friends and we all loved the meat and the sides. The place is BYOB so we also shared some great drinks together.
Prices are on the high side but in line with all the very good steakhouses...in this area.More
Very pricey steakhouse. Steaks were good with very large portions. Skip the sides, overpriced and not very good. Service was lacking as our water glasses rarely refilled. Recommended for special occasions or expense account.
