Used to live in the area several years ago and loved the coming up here for ice cream, sandwiches, and especially the fried onion centers, which seem to be an item unique to this restaurant, so I can safely give the Riverside a "Very Good" rating. Unfortunately, we had a less-than-perfect experience this time. We were in town for a... More

This little roadside stand has lots of variety for lunch and dinner but is a little pricey, in my opinion. The ice cream is really good and the picnic tables are in a nice open grassy area which is nice.

We stopped by for lunch and have been here many times before. We've always had a good experience here until most recently when I ordered a frap, which is one of their displayed menu items. We were pretty much the only ones there at the time and while waiting, I overheard one of the workers inside yell so loudly I... More

We went there while camping nearby. We had a restaurant.com discount so we decided to try it out. We had the large lobster roll, chicken fingers, and onion rings. Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious! We will definhitely go there again when in the area. They post a sign to tell you it's not "fast food" so it isn't quick,... More

The #1 thing for me is obviously food when visiting a restaurant. Was not disappointed. We got nice big grilled lobster rolls (butter was on the side) sat on a picnic table outside on a nice sunny day. Had fun... Did not go in expecting a fancy restaurant. So I was not disappointed. Friendly person taking the order. Good food.... More

On vacation in Ashland, NH, we passed the Riverside and decided to have lunch on our last day. Should have stopped on the 1st day and then some. The Lobster Roll was wonderful; hot cooked lobster with butter drizzle on a roll. Not the typical lobster salad. Fries were good and fresh tasting. The iced tea was good and tasted... More

O.K. we are local N.H.ites and wanted to try out Riverside DJ and their new ownership. We ordered 2 small and 2 large lobster rolls. The sign warns you they aren't fast food so they will not be fast. That's o.k. The lobster rolls are all meat, toasted buns, and cooked in butter. The value is fair. Our concern was... More

Outside dining on picnic tables, place your order at the window and then sit and wait. But... the wait will be well worth it. The burger was superb! We also enjoyed a great ice cream for dessert. Highly recommend, we will definitely be going back.

The ice cream is great! The service was a bit slow but I hear there are new owners this year and am excited to see what direction they will be taking this charming dairy bar. Lots of outdoor seating, horses behind in the field. Love this spot.

A medium ice cream in a waffle cone for lunch! Great creative flavors!!! Wish I went in June so I could go back more often.
