The restaurant is next to Gerogetown Lake approximately 20 miles from Anaconda. Have eaten there twice and the prime rib was awesome. Could have had 4 stars but the service is a little slow and similar to another review timing of apps, salads, and main dish were very close together.

The Brown Derby is a little 8 to 10 room motel that has a cafe and bar right beside it. The cafe is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They serve awesome food and the drinks are pretty good also. I don't know what it is like in the summertime because we always go there in the winter for ice... More

The fried pickles were great. Otherwise it was very disappointing. The appetizers, salad, and entrees all arrived together. My friend's salad had a long hair in it and my burger was just nasty; the meat tasted like it was freezer burned or old. It was inedible. Too bad because the restaurant is really convenient to the lake and Discovery.

Visit several times a year because of living close by and just hope every time that things will be better... especially the service. This time, the special (a pasta shrimp dish) was excellent. The dinner salad, though not large, was cold and crisp; and our group was served in a timely manner. The plain brown table have new covers on... More

Food is average and depending if they have their operation in full swing, a customer can get a pretty tasty dish, an average plate of food or you may need to wait quite a while to get your food and even then, it is just so-so. Take your chances as it is in a pretty spot close to Georgetown Lake... More

Though the restaurant doesn't have much road-side appeal, the lunch we stopped for was QUITE good. We were lucky enough to be there for an afternoon lounge type of act. An elderly man superbly planning a guitar and his wife belting out the tunes. Who'd a thought you'd get live entertaining in the middle of the afternoon.

The Brown Derby has been around forever and even though we once lived in the area, we never gave it a try. We had heard it was sold, resold, shut down, back in business, and so this time, on a trip home, we decided to drive up to Georgetown Lake to see if it was actually still there. Well, it... More

We were visiting from California. We come to Georgetown Lake once or twice a year and knew the Brown Derby had new owners. Our waitress said it was her first day. She was an absolute JOY! She was sweet, friendly and really cared about our having a good experience. Unfortunately, our order was messed up but the lady in charge... More

Georgetown Lake landmark. Nice people, cold brews, great place to meet and relax after a day of skiing, fishing, boating, or hiking. Usual pub-grub.

Four of us ate dinner and we were all pleasantly surprised that our meals were so good. Over the years we've had some disappointing food here, but the new owners have worked hard to improve the menu and we're so glad~! We'll eat here regularly.
