Better than expected meal

The menu is heavily biased towards carnivores. If you are looking for a vegetarian meal, consider choosing several sides. I ordered the baked potato, salad and cole slaw. This was plenty of food even after a long bike ride. The house salad has several types of lettuce, lots of raw onions, tomato and shredded cheddar cheese. This is much better than the average salad except for too much raw onion. The cole slaw tasted slightly bitter to me. It seemed to have dill in it. Torge's has lots of seating including a large patio.

For a fun place to hang out this is the place for you. I have a little bit of everything for what ever you are craving. The burgers are great. It is where a lot of young coup,es go out to.

Stay and Eat

If you stay overnight at the Holiday Inn you don't even have to leave and that is something I love not having to drive to a restaurant. I like their wings and their burgers are great. Don't forget the onion rings.

Good food and great server.

We stopped here after a wrestling tournament nearby. The food was delicious and the server was great. Friendly and good service overall. The fries had a little tasty spice to them which was delicious. The chicken taco salad was great (but could have used a bit more lettuce). Sports bar theme which was distracting but I know some people like all of those TV's. We went for the food and that was what we were hoping, really appreciated the friendly service.

Nice Sports Bar

Torge's is attached to the Holiday Inn of Austin and after a long day's drive a welcome short walk from our room. The menu has a good selection beyond fried food and also offers weeknight specials. They had plenty of TVs to watch the Thursday night NFL game, all you have to do is ask and the staff will turn on any requested sports channel. Torge's happy hour also includes reduced appetizer prices. Our bartender was very attentive and she efficiently filled both server and bartender positions with good humor. Good stop!

Good wings, friendly service.

My friend and I stopped here since we were staying right down the block at the AmericInn. Huge place with plenty of TV's everywhere. We each had the wings and a few beers on the "half off till 7:00" deal. Hard to beat that. Wings were nice and meaty, good heat to the ones I had. Service could have been a little faster as it looked like our waitress had a lot of tables to wait on. Nice outside patio that was pretty full. Would definitely go back.

Fast and Friendly

Grabbed lunch here during a severe weather outbreak in the middle of a swim meet. Four families with 3 to 4 children each! I felt bad for the wait staff, but we were waited on efficiently, and our food was served quickly. Ale was our server, and she was especially patient, and helpful when we were ordering. Many thanks for a relaxed, enjoyable place to get a good bite while waiting out the storm!

This is a surprisingly large sports bar adjacent to a Holiday Inn. We did not stay at the hotel, but we just stumbled on Torge's looking for a place to eat on a Sunday night. The servers were quick and friendly and the servings were generous. Prices were very fair.

Torge's Fun

Torge's is a great restaurant for food and service but also for live entertainment. It has tables for 2, 4 or large groups and a large bar area. I've had several different appetizers, entrees and salads from the menu and everything is very good. For sports fans there are large screen TVs on every wall for watching your favorite sport. I've eaten at Torge's several times and have an enoyable experience each time.

I am a fan of the $ 2 domestic beer pint special, the Torge burger and grilled vegetables were excellent. Also enjoyed their new Philly Cheese Steak Flatbread. Nice TVs for watching sports...will definitely visit again.

I have visited Torge's in the past and had a great time, On a recent visit it was dead. I don't know if this was an anomaly, but on a Monday night football nigh only a handful of people were in the bar. I hope I just visited on an bad night as there is not much to do when visiting Austin

Great live music

We've been a few times on a whim checking out the local bands. It is the best "people watching" we've seen, and always a good time. A great spot for beers and appetizers while watching the band.
