Great brews and food!

It was a busy Saturday night , and being I work in the hospitality industry, I totally understand being under staffed. We were informed upon arriving that there were minimal servers and our food may take a little longer than usual. We thought the staff did a fabulous job. Our wait was no problem as our drinks were brought promptly and when our food arrived, very good. We had a great time! Thank you!

First Visit - Did Not Disappoint

We visited the Tap House on a busy Saturday night with a party of 4. We were greeted immediately by the bartender and sat within minutes by the host. Our order consisted of a Huckleberry Mule and four kinds of hamburgers, along with french fries and sweet potato fries. Our hamburgers, which included the Ripping Razz, Beer Cheese Pub, Gouda Mac and the Queso burger, were all excellent. The highlight of the meal was the Huckleberry Mule -- the taste was fantastic, with the only thing I would have changed was it was served in an insulated Yeti mug, that appeared to have been around for a while. Loved the hightop tables and the area appeared to be clean. Server and host were attentive, friendly and offered food suggestions when asked.

Really Ejoyable Experience

We were in Alexandria for a family vacation. Visited DJ's Tap House one night for dinner. Food was great with lots of choices. My son and I had to try the Tap House Pub Pickles which were pickle spears with smoke gouda wrapped in an eggroll. Never had that before. Nice selection of burgers, wraps, and sandwiches.

Good beer selection, but...

If craft beers are what you’re looking for, you’ll probably like this place. The food, however, is very ordinary. My cheese burger with bacon came sans bacon. It was quickly brought out ( microwaved, I think.) Fried were mostly short little pieces (bottom of the bag.) Service was good. High ceilings produce lousy acoustics.

Decent Food/Bad Service

We stopped for lunch on a Thursday afternoon after we discovered our usual local favorite restaurant had closed. The food prices were a bit expensive, but the portion size was good. The reason I’m giving this 3 stars is because we never were asked if we wanted refills on our sodas and after asking for the bill the waitress proceeded to bus at least 2 tables and do everything but bring us our bill. The food was good, the service not so much.

Dinner at DJs Taphouse in Alexandria MN

My husband and I stopped in for the first time at DJs Taphouse in Alexandria after we had been to a Golf Simulator and it was a bit later and were looking for something still open in town later at night and a Burger sounded really good for Supper. My husband had their Mushroom & Swiss with Frys and I had their Garlic Lovers Burger & Frys. Service was quick, Friendly, Both of our Burgers were Excellent they give great portions for the price. I loved the Peppers and the Garlic Sauce they put on the Garlic Burger will give it 5 stars only thing was the French Frys while being very flavorful were a bit soggy but still everything was very good and Burgers were prepared nicely. We would for sure stop in again if ever in the area. And would recommend them as a place for a good Burger.

Worth every penny

My friend and I were in town watching the MMA event and decided to give this place a try. The atmosphere was pleasant but the food was out of this world. Drinks were ice cold and our waitress was more than attentive to our needs. I would rate this place 10 stars if I could. Our new place to stop by after leaving the cities on our way to Grand Forks.

After trying to eat there for many times we finally figured out you need to go right when they open to get a table. The food was nothing spectacular. We had their fries which were warm but not hot and had to ask a couple of times for refills on drinks.

New adventure - went well

Just decided to stop by passing it, as an alternative to fast food. More expensive but a good experience and choice. Nice atmosphere, clean and bright. Server was not warm and friendly but very capable and prompt. She checked back as a good server should at the appropriate times. The food was excellent and beer choices are good as well. Beer was cold, which we like. Definitely recommend this place. I do find the practice of charging more for use of a credit card to be disturbing as a practice, it was listed clearly on the bill as a option but 4% is a bit much to charge

Amazing Beer list

We ate here twice on a brief vacation from the cities. The beer list is amazing. I enjoy that they featured local beers and offered flights. Not a ton for vegetarians but I was able to alter my order. Dressing for the salads was super yummy. My husband said the burger and wings were amazing. Service was super friendly and attentive. This place made me very happy.

Return Visit, Will Be Back!

This was only our second visit and once again it did not disappoint. Food: beer cheese pub burger and sweet potato fries and the French onion steak sandwich and regular fries -- were all excellent. The French onion steak sandwich had onions and red peppers on and was also served with a side of horseradish sauce was A+ material. Tender beef, great flavor, loved the bun and the horseradish (served on the side) only added to the flavor. The beer cheese pub burger was delicious but messy and the sweet potato fries (waffle) were excellent. Beyond the excellent food here, the staff has to be one of the best in the area - everyone is moving, working and attentive to customers. Looking forward to going back when we are in the area! The Huckleberry Mule is a must try -- if you like Moscow Mules, you will love the Huckleberry!

Yum!!!!

We had excellent service and the food was delicious! I had a chicken wrap with Thai peanut sauce and sweet potato fries and my husband had the Gouda Mac and cheese with the pretzel breadstick. We plan to be back!!
