Service was not the best, shrimp Alfredo was tasty but not quite sure it ranked among my top five Alfredo's. I should have stuck with my original selection of a burger. This looks like a great burger place.
Stopped for lunch on a Saturday afternoon with the family. Great, friendly service! Bartendar makes a great Long Island Tea which is not easy to make right. Everyone enjoyed thier food. Very clean and spacious area. Will definitely be back when we are in the...area.More
I had the Jamacian jerk pork loin and the serve was quite small compared to the entrees of my friends. Sticky toffee pudding dessert was small also. Flavours ok, but I overall I thought the place was overrated. One girl staff member with tattoos needs...to engage with customers more, make eye contact and not talk about personal stuff with other staff in front of customers. She basically ignored us.More
Met a friend for a glass of wine at Doolittle’s and was pleasantly surprised that Thursday night is 1/2 off glasses of wine. We each had the walleye fingers, which were excellent!! Service was top notch!
Stopped in for Saturday lunch when we arrived in Alexandria. Service was not only excellent it was impressive. Staff was very personable yet professional. They have a choreographed serving and clearing system that boggled my mind. Food couldn’t have been better. Kudos to management. Kudos...to kitchen staff. Kudos to restaurant staff.More
Met some friend here for dinner on a Saturday evening. First impression is a friendly greeting and a clean facility. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and popular items and had plenty of recommendations. I had the salmon which was prepared on a...bed of wild rice with the most bizarre combinations to me. It was spectacular. It included spinach, onion (a little overboard as my breath was heavy with onion after), and tomato . Then it had some sort of tomato-ish purée which was a fabulous combination and melding of flavors. Would definitely order again. Two people in my group had the chicken which they liked, and one person had the ribs. Our friend is diabetic and they happily subbed a veggie for the potato option. Everyone was happy. I. Addition, we were able to sneak in for happy hour and had a great glass of wine!! Would definitely dine here again.More
The DWG was close to our motel and it looked good on the web so off we went. Decent sized parking lot and a pair of jovial greeters at the door. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere; reminded us of an upscale Applebees. We went...straight to the bar area to play a little cribbage and sipped on adult beverages. Justin was the friendly barkeep who produced a good Hendricks Gin martini for Number One wife while I had a tap beer.
After the game and drinks, I asked the jovial duo for a table outside the bar area, Jenn was our waitress and did a good job of checking on us. We each ordered a pasta dish. Number One had Fettuccine Alfredo with extra garlic and I had the Seafood Linguine. As good restaurants do these days another server brought the dishes to our table. Problem! My food was hot, but the Fettuccine was room temperature at best. Flagged Jenn down and she was apologetic and returned the dish to the kitchen. I was half way done by the time Number One got her reheated food. Jenn apologized saying there was a major spill in the kitchen. The Fettuccine was steaming hot and extra big. My guess is the kitchen staff re-did the entire order and added more pasta to makeup for the mistake.
I'd give DWG another chance.More
