Long time repeat customer. Well over 12 years. Was a favorite local seafood house. Not anymore. Soft shell crab was mediocre. Oysters Rockefeller were raw underneath. Could not swallow it. Oysters on the half shell were humongous, smelled bad and inedible. New England clam chowder...and their chowder mix soup was excellent as always. Service was very good. Will not return again soon. Too bad, was a favorite.More

Went there after a terrible round of golf, friends decided this would be the best place to go. I am sure glad we went to O'Brien's as we did have other plans. We walked in asked if we had reservations, we didn't but were promptly...seated. Bar had several folks sitting watching the game on TV, there were a few families sitting at tables all in different phases of eating their meal. I saw a variety of meals on peoples' plates so guessing what to have been something to think about. It is softshell crab season, which brings back memories of sitting over my Mother-in-Laws eating crab while watch the Redskins. Well, I opted for the grouper, I was pleasantly surprised with a lightly breaded decent portion of fish in a creamy white sauce with rice and artichoke hearts. OMG was the meal great. Our waitress was pleasant, making sure while we ate we didn't want anything else. While eating I saw a few folks taking leftovers home, my meal was so good I didn't take anything home. I will be returning to O'Brien's soon.More

Generous food portions and the grouper and crab legs are some of the best around! Also, this is our go-to for clam chowder.

Today was my first time trying this place because I saw them on Fox 2. The food was average at best. Definitely not worth the price. Out of everything I ordered, the key lime pie and calamari tasted the best. Although, I hate that the...calamari was soggy because of the garlic pepper sauce. I also tried the stone crabs, mussels, fries and clam chowder. The fries were also soggy. The bread was extremely hard. The mussels and clam chowder lacked flavor because it wasn't clam chowder. It was broth. The mussels at the bottom of the bucket were empty shells. The clam chowder take out bowl was only half full. I will never visit again. The mussels at Bar Louie's had much better flavor.More

We had a great dinner here. Shrimp cocktail was the best we've had. We got the basics, pan-fried trout and perch and honestly, they were just fantastic. Great dinner, great prices, great service. This is going to be one of our regular stops. Loved it!

Had a $20 off coupon and thought we would try this restaurant out again. It’s still “just average”. It could be a hit, kinda small in a strip mall with a great looking bar. But the food....again, average. At our table we had scallops, flounder...and whitefish. The scallops were way overdone. Rubbery and not that tasty. The flounder was mushy and was sent back. The replacement was much better. The Cole slaw was tasty as was the chowder. The prices are not cheap, so the fish should be fresh and prepared correctly. Our waitress was great. Too bad they cannot prepare their main courses better; this place could be a winner.More

I didn’t have high expectations but I was mistaken. Fresh crab; 2.5 pounds on special Mon/Tues was an amazing deal. The whitefish dip was an unexpected return to Michigan favorite and I enjoyed the service as well

I enjoyed my dinner here and if we were local I’d stop a few times a month. The waitress recommended a few dishes and I enjoyed a bite of everyone’s! Quick service on a Friday night!

I love this place as it reminds me of New England restaurant/tavern. From the layout to the decor to the menu, I’m reminded of the Boston area . After six, oftentimes a short wait. Seems like a very good long-standing clientele of regulars-a great sign...of a great restaurant. Service is great, food wonderful and menu varies with daily specials. I love the pasta seafood options with nice portions and the roadhouse frog-legs. Frog legs nicely battered and gently seasoned. Caesar salad and she crab sou quite good.More

I had the baked stuffed Shrimp the down side was 1 side and a salad I would have liked a veggie as well. Not cheap but very very good. I have yet to try for lunch but the lunch menu is very reasonable.

This was our first visit and what a great find. We love grouper and we hit the jackpot with their grouper sandwich. It was huge and delicious. The cottage fries were tasty but just a little soggy. We ordered a side cole slaw that was...very good and unique. Our server, Katie, was great with fast friendly service. We will be back.More

Dark, dim room here. Wanted crabs but didn’t feel like making a mess or eating with my fingers today. Smells of cleaning products and the stench of a senior home while sitting at the bar. I started off with the New England clam chowder, tossed...salad, stuffed clams like the Jersey shore, not sure if that’s the true shore of jersey or the show. Not sure if it was risky to get salmon here but why not. I decided to try out the fried green tomato as well. Sold out of the clams so settled on blackened salmon on a Caesar salad, as the bartender informed me their Caesar dressing was very good. Clam chowder is very thick, tastes decent, not much clams so far. First two clams are big chunks. The bartender is super friendly and helpful. The Caesar dressing is made in house and is good, salmon was perfectly cooked and nice blackened seasoning. I would be back here for the Caesar salad with the salmon since I am in AH twice a week this year and next year. Just needs a bit of work to change the cleaning agent so it’s not all I smell when I am eating inside the dining area for the next time I am here.More

Yes, if you realize gluten is wheat products you find lots of items on the menu that have no wheat. Stay away from fried foods...the coating used to fry them is likely to contain gluten. Otherwise, you can go to town.
