We were back in Detroit and brought a friend along. This time we ordered 3 vegetarian dishes (baigan bhartha, paneer makhni and navratan korma). All were delicious and spiced as we ordered. We also ordered 6 butter and garlic naans and 2 mango lassis. The...servings were so generous that we ended up taking half of the food with us.More

Don't let the exterior of the building fool you, Punjab serves up some great tasting Indian food. The restaurant is clean and well decorated and the service was excellent. I had the tandoori chicken platter with Nan bread and everything was cooked to perfection and...tasted great. Great tasting food at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend dining hereMore

We decided to eat here because it was a minute from our hotel, and had not eaten Indian food in a while. I chose the sweet corn soup and chili garlic chicken noodles. Both were ordered spicy, and certainly were. When we arrived we were...the only diners, but the restaurant filled up quickly. Service wasn't the fastest, but the food was good.More

This place was everything we could have hoped for and more. The facade outside is kind of deceptive and betrays the wonderful food and personnel behind the doors. The place is clean, spacious, and elegantly decorated. I liked the warm colors on the walls. The...food was flavorful and arrived promptly. The servers were warm and friendly without appearing condescending or pretentious. The prices were reasonable and everyone, including my picky eaters left happy. We’ll be back for sure.More

We first ordered Papadum which was served with a green sauce, red sauce and a chutney. It was delicious. My wife ordered Chicken tikka masala. The marinated chicken was fresh and tasty severed in a spicy curry sauce. The rice served with my wife's dish...was cooked perfectly. I had Tandoori Chicken that was also well marinated and fresh and tender. We ordered garlic naan bread as well as garlic and cheese naan - it was superb!More

I arrived at 11:15 a.m. for lunch here and the place was already packed. At least half the customers were Indian and I take that into consideration when eating at a new Indian place. I had the buffet and it was ok. Just ok. Nothing...stood out. The naan was good. I had the lime drink mentioned in a few reviews here but it is not sweet at all. It's lime with spices of some sort and I didn't enjoy it. I suppose I could have added some sugar to it but I assumed that I was to drink it as it was prepared and brought to the table. I don't think that I would make a special trip to eat here but based on the number of people that were there, I am assuming that there are a lot of people out there looking for Indian food.More

The atmosphere is casual & cozy. The staff is amazing. Our server Azhan was very attentive but never intrusive & he took time to describe in detail the menu items that I inquired about. The food was served hot - in both temperature & seasoning...- YES YES YES!!! Also a vegetarian menu is available. A hidden gem at the northwest corner of Opdyke & Pontiac Rd, just a few minutes from I-75 & University Dr.More
