We visited Ashley's recently as we took some friends of ours to AA for the first time. We chose Ashley's for two reasons; great beer selection and reliable food. And it's tough to mess up beer! But you can mess up food. One of our diners was gluten free. She ordered something that came on a flour tortilla and asked... More

I'm really glad you can always count on us for a great beer, but I'm sorry to hear the service and burger this time around were disappointing. We hold our service to a high standard, so I'll be looking into the issue you mentioned with the food allergy. As far as the burger goes, I'll keep that in mind. We... More

I love this place because of the atmosphere and the decorations. All the tables have notes from previous diners on how much they loved the food. I would definitely recommend coming with friends and enjoying the whole ambiance

Ashley's manages to distinguish itself from campus cafes because it offers a wide selection of brews and excellent food. Yes, the interior is noisy and somewhat rundown, but this "atmosphere" ensures that everything is informal; this visit is for pleasure. The food was tasty and well-prepared, but why so much Stilton cheese? This is the first restaurant that I have... More

We were in AA for a Michigan football game and this was a must stop for us. A+ on everything you'd want from a bar in a college town.

Heard this was a good place to try new beers. Waited for a table, waited for a waiter, was told our food would take 45 minutes-one hour to come. The waiter wasn't friendly and couldn't even get us salsa and chips to hold us over while our food came. When the beer finally arrived, it was good. We went on... More

I'm sorry to hear that your service wasn't better, Shannon. Your server should've been friendly and attentive and delivered your chips and salsa soon after you ordered it, and I apologize if that wasn't the case. While I'm glad to hear you were prepared by our staff that there might be a delay on your entrees, I agree that 45... More

Went before a Michigan basketball game on a Saturday. Arrived around 12:00 and was able to get the table by the window. The beer selection was great and we tried a couple different options. For food, I had a burger which was cooked med rare as ordered and the burger wasn't extremely thick so it wouldn't take much time to... More

I went to Michigan for undergrad, and only went to Ashley's once, as it was the place where grad students and "old" people hung out when I was there. My boyfriend and I were in town and he likes beer, so I thought he'd like it. I was right. He really liked all the beer choices. I'm more of a... More

Glad to hear you and your boyfriend could both find something to pair with your poutine and cheese steak! Next time you come in, don't hesitate to ask your server for recommendations that will fit your taste for lighter beer -- like the Bells you had, there are lots of fantastic options besides the hop-heavy stuff, and we'd love to... So after going to Ann Arbor for more than 10 years for football games and visiting my kids going to school there I finally made it to Ashley's. Now I am mad at myself for not finding the place years ago. This place is what is what I would call "a joint" - my kind of place. My wife and... More

This place is close to paradise for brew and/or malt lovers! And anyone who enjoys great food. Located almost directly opposite the quad in Ann Arbor, parking is definitely competitive but not impossible. A structure an easy safe 1.5 block walk is an easy option. Adequate seating, but could easily be mobbed at peak hours. Booths in the back are... More

With our rotating taps, Ashley's Ann Arbor will have over 1000 different beers throughout the year. Such a huge selection like that means we're bound to have all of your favorites, plus some that will become your new favorites. And for the whiskey lover, Ashley's is your place. We have a huge selection of small batch Bourbons and Scotch single malts from which to choose. Today Ashley's is known as a leader in the craft beer movement and has partnerships with many great breweries to bring their best to Michigan and Ann Arbor. We have traversed the continents to bring you a world class selection of beer and ale, from the hoppy British bitters to the dark lagers of South Germany, from the classic Pilsners of Bohemia to the arcane fruit beers of Flanders, from the craft micro-brew beers of the US Pacific northwest to the finest Michigan micro-brews. At Ashley's, there is always something new to try and explore. In addition to our wide selection of beers, we have a diverse menu of food that is made to order from the freshest ingredients around. Some of our most popular items include our pesto fries and our fish and chips. Our kitchen is open late seven days a week and our chef's create unique items that always go well with beer, like our Stilton fries and our premium burgers are made with Certified Angus Prime Beef and are crafted into mouthwatering combinations. Creative sandwiches on our house made spent grain bread are very popular. Our tradition has been to celebrate the simple pleasures of life... Good food - Good drink - Good friends!
