Great choice for Eastern European cuisine. We enjoyed the food very much. If you are in the Ann Arbor area, it’s worth a try.

1st time here. I can't believe we missed this place. We have eaten at just about every restaurant in Ann Arbor multiple times. This may be my new favorite restaurant. I am 3rd generation American-Hungarian, I was blown away. The pierogis were superb, must get...for app. (Or main course) we had the paprikash, my wife had the bitki. These dishes were excellent. I think the paprikash was better. Michael, or waiter was very nice, made our meal even better. A gem of a place. We will be back for sure. Highly recommended.More

We dined here celebrating my Mom’s birthday. This is advertised as a “taste of Europe” and that’s exactly what it is, although the focus is on Austrian, Polish and Hungarian dishes. Most of us had the Goulash with egg noodles: very good flavor. Hungarian pancakes...were also good: that’s potato pancakes with Goulash. The Polish plate was also very tasty (think kielbasa, sauerkraut, cabbage rolls and the like). Wine list was impressive. Dessert menu was great: we had the Napoleon and other two and liked them all. Coffee barista style was beautiful and tasty. This is a small restaurant, decorated with Mozart related pictures and Polish wood carvings. Would recommend making reservations because there are only about 8 tables or so. A Spanish guitar player was performing all night, very nicely. All in all, an excellent experience. Ande there is a parking structure just across the street!More

I’ve never been to a restaurant that served Polish, German and Russian food. It was so yummy! We tried a little bit of everything. Cabbage Rolls, Pierogis, paprika’s, goulash, potato pancakes, sausage, and pork tenderloin. Everything was delicious. The desserts were delicious. The restaurant is small...and decorated very old world European. Very eclectic. The service was spot on. The party of 8 I was with all went crazy for it. We will be back.More

If you're looking for a little place to tuck into and out of the windy Ann Arbor winter (or fall for that matter), check out Amadeus on Washington St. You'll feel like you walked into your Polish grandmother's dining room - mismatched chairs, lace curtains,...kitschy stuff on the walls, and even your old uncle or younger cousin playing the piano (or guitar or whatever other live music is on hand). Pierogis rule here but they sell out fast so make sure you know what's available before you order. Entrees are hearty and not really for those watching their cholesterol (kielbasa and sauerkraut anyone?). The wine list is short and Eastern/Central Europe in focus. An added bonus - there is a small but relatively undiscovered parking garage right across the street.More

Loved dinner with friends here after seeing a play in Chelsea. Parking garage across the street makes it very convenient. Service was wonderful, very quaint atmosphere, and the food is delicious - Hungarian/Polish/Austrian specialties. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. Pierogi appetizer, yum! Potato pancakes with goulash,...wonderful! and the bread they serve is a delight.More

Tremendous service, bread is ambrosia. Menu is a combination of Austrian, Polish and German cuisines offering a variety of dishes from pierogi to sausage and sauerkraut salad. Portions are very comfortable, medium sized plates for our lunch. Hot tea, coffee and espresso were superb and,...with beautiful and delicious desserts were a good ending to our lunch for four. Convenient parking right across the street, space in the dining room is limited but wide open. Lunch for four with hot drinks and desserts was just over $90.00. More than we usually spend, but special friends deserve a special meal in a special restaurant and Amadeus fit the bill perfectly. After paying our bill I purchased a dozen bread rolls to take home! Don’t pass this place by if you like continental European cuisine.More

We have eaten here a few times now and every time it has been a treat. From the Beet Soup to the entrees we have not had anything not top drawer. One of our now favorite places in AA.

This place was amazing! We ordered a few things for the table. The kielbasa was crispy and juicy, the potato pancakes were crunchy and oily ( in a good way) the pierogis were flavorful. But the real star was the chicken paprikash it was tender...and juicy and delicious and flavorful. Nice strong drinks!! Our server was great as well, longer dirty blond hair with a pony tail. He over heard we had a birthday and brought over the best chocolate gateau cake I’ve ever had. CHECK THIS PLACE OUTMore

We’ve been coming here for 25 years. We absolutely love the eclectic atmosphere and Eastern European food. I always get the fantastic chicken paprikash and my husband orders the pork cutlet or pierogis. Everything is fresh and delicious. The guitar playing in the background is...so mesmerizing. The service is always impeccable.More

We have eaten at Amadeus many times, and it never disappoints. A charming Cafe, not large but comfortably roomy. They serve the best Polish, Hungarian, and Russian food in the area. Whenever I walk in, the food aromas take me way back to the early...1960's, with foods cooked by my Grandma...and of course eaten in the basement. This is the place to go to experience the flavors and textures of top notch Eastern European cuisine. You will be delighted.More

Saturday morning normal Farmers Market and Zingerman's run but the line at Z was off the hook so we tried Armadeus for the first time. Wow. From the Beet Soup to the Kielbasa to the coffee this was an unexpected delight. We have already gone...back and will be showing up here often. Strongest rating possible for these guys.More

3 couples went to Sunday brunch. Enjoyed a quiet corner with impeccable service, as we enjoyed a variety of breakfast plates, visually beautiful, and delicate amounts of condiments (e.g., horseradish for the kielbasa, dollop of sour cream for potato pancakes). Well brewed, full bodied coffees...including a perfect Viennese coffee at the end of one meal. Finally, after asking about the freshness of the tortes, received a slice of stale hard Sacher torte. Should have skipped!More
