The Polish kielbasa and the creamed herring were enough for dinner. Amadeus is small but has a diverse selection of Polish Hungarian, and Mid-Eastern food. Service was prompt and attentive.

Feels like you are in Poland. Very small, cozy with eclectic old world decor. The service is great- one waitress and the food is amazing. My favorite meal is the beet soup with pierogi platter. So good that it is hard to order anything else. Tables are close to each other- as they are in Europe- so it is not... More

Just a wonderful place where food is as it should be. Everything is home made, tastes familiar to me and makes your tastebuds happy. Sometime I just drive to Ann Arbor to visit Amadeus- their creamed herring is to die for, potato pancakes delicious and kopytka delicate. Accompanied by some polish beer- makes it just a perfect meal. A definite... More

That's how Amadeus was recommended to us from a friend. A hidden gem in Ann Arbor rivaling any of the good Polish/Eastern European restaurants you can find in Hamtramck, the city near Detroit known for it's Polish cuisine. Great traditional dishes. Quaint atmosphere and decent service. Helpful hints: On Sunday they only have a brunch menu, however, you can get... More

This place is adorable with a cozy atmosphere. The food is authentic and yummy, especially the deserts and pierogis. The only flaw was that they were a little short-staffed.

Eastern european atmosphere, the infraestructure, the sitting, the menu, and the service as well. Not same standards as typical american dining experience, however I think is part of its charm and sort of mysterious vibe it has. Food is good, typical eastern european style, feels to me like actually being somewhere over there,

We chose Amadeus for dinner when we were in Ann Arbor based on Trip Advisor Reviews and we were quite pleased that we did. The restaurant is small and quaint. We didn't have a reservation, but we arrived early and we were accommodated as were a few parties after us, even though the restaurant was fully booked later in the... More

My wife and I stumbled on to this place, looking for dinner before a concert. The dishes were central and eastern European in origin. Normally I would think that such food would be heavy, but both of our dishes were excellent. We enjoyed every bite, and will be back when we return to Ann Arbor. The prices were very reasonable.

Dinner on 10/9. Arrived at 5:45 -need to leave to get to a 8pm Hill concert. Upon arrival-no greeting, only "do you have a reservation?". Which we did. Food was good; our server very good. During dinner a solicitor walked in selling cookies. The same woman that "greeted" us noticed and did nothing. I informed our server and she escorted... More

We stopped in Ann Arbor specifically to eat at Amadeus. For us this is a MUST VISIT for anyone who enjoys real East European cuisine, or wants to get introduced to it. The aroma of freshly baked dinner rolls (served with whipped butter) greeted us as we entered the restaurant. Our waitress was friendly, informative, efficient, and warm. The food... More
