I used to be a regular customer--I love their acai bowls and the pastrami sandwiches, but their staff refuse to wear masks. I just can't risk it anymore. If they are still in business after the pandemic, maybe I'll go back.

Met up w friends for breakfast after a late night. Lots of options, from açaí bowls to omelettes. I went with a vegetarian egg sandwich. Coffee was great. Fast service. Reasonable prices. Clean ladies’ room.
The salads are amazing and priced well for a nice lunch. Smoothies and acas bowls are good too. But the acas took a while to thaw.
The sandwiches here are absolutely delicious. Huge amounts of shaved meat spilling out of the center of my sandwich, and it was great. I filled up on half a sandwich alone. The prices weren’t that bad either. Would definitely recommend this casual deli restaurant for...lunch.More
Walked into this place because they advertised acai bowls and we were hungry. We walked in to find things even better than acai bowls! Delicious salads with many other options, including soft serve ice cream and, or course, acai bowls
The state street location has always been good, but they have gotten painfully slow. They seem to have had a lot of management and staff turnover, and the current crew just isn’t very on top of things.
BOTTOM LINE: Great little spot to grab a quick lunch. Many choices. Great hot dogs and crepes. If you use a credit card they charge you a surcharge of .30. Stopped here after a tour at U-M. It’s close to Central campus. There were many...choices so everyone in my family could find something and everyone was happy. Overall, place is clean with not a ton of seating. The menu offered many different sandwiches, salads, crepes and hot dogs. We had hot dogs (NY and Reuben). Both delicious. The poppy seed buns are super soft and perfect for these particular recipes. We got garlic Parmesan fries and they were average at best. I think they pour some Parmesan cheese and garlic salt on them and throw them in the oven. Crepe was really tasty according to my son. Drinks were expensive. $2.25 for a can of soda?! That is crazy but we realized too late and didn’t want to make a big deal. Overall, we were pleased with our meal. 4 of us had lunch for $34 which I think is a good value for the food we got.More
I've been coming here off and on for many years because the food was cheap and tasty. But during those years I don't think I ever saw a renovation or even fresh paint or new furniture. I won't be back until it improves.
We stopped for dinner before a concert at Hill Auditorium and it was great...really good deli sandwiches and lots of good sides and salads by the pound too. Like all good deli's the sandwiches are really too big...especially if you get a side salad. The...pickles are amazing and the full sandwiches come with two types. Yum!More
As an Alumni coming back to visit, I ate here for a good meal. The staff were nice and the food was good as I remembered. The only downside were the unusual patrons in the restaurant. To each their own, and I cannot say who...can or can't eat here, but next time I will just take my food as a take away and eat in peace. Times must have changed and the idea of proper behaviour seems to no longer exist.More
Located at State and Liberty, this is a good spot for a sandwich, coffee/tea, desert, etc. Very popular with UM students.
Stopped-by on 9/20/2017 while on a business trip, based on good reviews. This place certainly has many choices in their menu, however, it's a rip-off when it comes to price, particularly for drinks, which do not have price shown on their menu board. I was...charged $2.25 for can of 12 oz. Diet Coke! Yesterday, I received my credit card bill, and Amer's charged me $10.41 while the receipt I still have shows $10.11. Yes, it's not that much of a difference, but it's the dishonesty that irks me and made me to write this review. Hopefully, other out-to-town folks won't be cheated. By the way, Falafel Deluxe I had was crusty and very dry. Way to go Amer's....this is the way a Alumni visiting after 20 yrs gets treated?!?More
Our very favorite place to eat. We have been here numerous times, and always find something new to try! We have never been disappointed. The food is delicious, portions are large and you can't beat the price! The employees are friendly, efficient and helpful. Highly...recommend you try Amer's!More
Local deli with extensive menu including crepes, smoothie and yogurt....typical sandwich menu as well
At Amer's, you could likely have a different sandwich for every day of the year, and each would be delicious. Soups are also great, as are smoothies. The one restaurant to rule them all!
