I used to love the place, but this visit - - not good. The omelet was really an egg burrito, the cheese (Cheddar) was stringy and old, the veggies in the omelet weren't prepped correctly., the hash browns were just OK, and that was NOT sourdough toast. Not even close.

This was an excellent place to meet a dear friend visiting from Chicago for a nice Sunday brunch. The service was prompt. The food was served hot and a generous portion. We arrived just before noon on a non-game day weekend and there was no delay in getting seated.

Fresh , tasty and hot . Warm and genuine service. A bit surprised the addition of a few leaves of spinach and a tablespoon of tomatoes in my omelette cost $2.59 . Each. .
I don’t mind paying extra for additional ingredients. I expect to. But really?….

Good service with a smile. It is also located very close to the hotel and it has a good breakfast selection.

Visiting the area and we were downtown near Kerrytown on a game day Saturday morning. Tried to get into The Broken Egg, but the line was out the door. So we decided to try The Village Kitchen instead. It too was filled with pre-game fans but we were still able to be seated quickly. Service was excellent, food was served hot and it was all delicious. Pancakes are huge.

Staying in Ann Arbor with my daughter, she decided to show me around to her favorite restaurants. Village kitchen did not let her down. Eggs over medium and apple toast, made just perfect.

Busy spot after church on Sunday. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. The menu offered interesting specials and different egg and pancake dishes. We will comeback for more.

A step above your average coney island, Village Kitchen is a solid choice for breakfast in Ann Arbor. I don't know where they get their English muffins but they are terrific, best I've ever had. For this reason, breakfast sandwiches and eggs Benedict are standouts.
Outstanding service too, my coffee was never less than a quarter full before a refresh.

Came here midweek for lunch. They had daily specials on the board along with a fixed daily special menu in addition to the regular menu. Fast friendly service. Had the breakfast burrito and was too full to finish the whole thing. This place seems like a local hangout with regular customers. Nice vibe, food was good. All in all, a decent place to get a decent meal.

Our kids grew up eating weekend breakfasts here. Always clean and with great service it felt like home-- warm and comfortable. It's still great after all these years.

Tasty breakfast foods with lots of choices. The staff was friendly and efficient even though they were very busy on a Sunday morning.

If you are a friend of fat rich food and lots of meet with a lot o the side - this is the place to go. The quality is ok, the service is friendly, and the place is busy.
For my taste the prices are slightly higher than the quality allows, but I assume that is due to my lack of appreciation for this branch of typical American food.

Whenever I have a guest in Ann Arbor who would like to see "how the locals eat" I take them to Village Kitchen. The food is a great value; the wait staff are friendly and helpful; COFFEE is very good and consistent. The walls have large murals of local Ann Arbor scenes and the piped in music varies a good bit but is always great--of the 60's/70's era, mixed type, including old country tunes, Buddy Holly, Elvis, etc.

Great country breakfast, very good. Good service and atmosphere. Smelled the bacon before entering...and was as good as it smelled.
