They do it right, with consistency, as a former New Yorker who ate at the 2nd ave deli, Zingermans is on par and better with such a variety of offerings, Reuben is well made, though it can be a pricey place.

Whether you are thirsty or hungry, stop by the Deli for some delicious deli food! Incredible sandwiches (Reuben is my favorite) as well a great assortment of pastries and other great eats! Shop at the store for other specialty products.
My husband and I are in town visiting his parents. Zingerman's came along after my husband graduated from Michigan Law School, so he had never been to Zingerman's. We've heard a lot of hype so we were hoping it would be great. It was good, but didn't quite live up to all the hype. We arrived there around 11:30am, which... More
Everything is so good. Today I tried a new cold soup, salad and half sandwich. (Took most of it home as their sandwiches are huge.) There are always new items and old favorites on their menu. Even though it's pricy, I make it a point to stop when in the area.
This is by far, one of the best places I have ever ate at in my travels!!! An original Delicatessen!! Service is fabulous. Sandwiches are terrific!! Lots of choices-too many to mention. They also have a wonderful store before the eatery that has just too much for the foodie in me to handle. I want to buy and eat everything!... More
They will make any kind od a sandwich that you want but look on the walls for a listing of "gut-busting" delights. They are not cheap but worth every penny you spend. I don't have a favorite, I just keep trying different ones and keep hoping for the best. Each one is the best! So just pick out what you... More
Passing through Ann Arbor around lunchtime on a weekday, and a friend recommended checking out Zingerman's. This place is great! The sandwiches were delicious (and massive). The staff people were friendly, patient, and made some good recommendations as the extensive menu can seem a little overwhelming to a first-timer. Also, be sure to stop by the bakery part for dessert!
Good food however very over priced. Here is an example Vermont cheddar cheese, two eggs, tomato & red onion on a toasted sesame bagel. 8.50 That is on a bagel folks
