If you actually enjoy Italian cuisine and can tell the difference between something that tastes like the sauce was microwaved out of a can rather than an actual culinary creation, then you will probably hate this restaurant. We shared the Di Pere salad, it had way too much dressing and bacon, and was overly salty. We were brought fresh bread... More

It was my daughter-mother day. And I treated my daughter to lunch. The waiter was very nice and he offered us truffled butter. It was my first time trying it and I was hooked. The food was very tasty and well presented.

I would not recommend this restaurant. We had a 9:15 reservation but wasn't seated until 9:45. A server did not come to our table for about 20 minutes. No bread and refilling of water glasses. The food was poor in preparation. I had a Shaved Brussel sprout salad that had no taste. I ordered the veal chop parmigiana that was... More

Gratzi is a terrific place for dinner. The building has so much history behind it. It was an old theater in the 1930s, the Orpheum Theater, and is right in the heart of Ann Arbor surround by wonderful shops. There is street parking at the restaurant, but there is a garage near by. If you had only one place to... More

Gratzi is a fine choice for a good Italian dinner, with a variety of options and interesting upgrades on traditional dishes. Our food was delicious and the portion sizes were large, but the entire service experience was a bit strange. It started when we arrived around 7:20 PM (just a few minutes late for our 7:15 PM reservation, but we'd... More

Have eaten here many times. All-in-all, pretty good and consistent. Can get very crowded on weekends and certainly game days. Good for large groups. Loud

Perhaps one of the most romantic restaurants in Ann Arbor. Classic Italian dishes, upscale decor, and friendly wait staff make this a popular local favorite that's been a Main St. staple for years!

Gratzi is without question one of the best restaurants in the area. The goat cheese portabella filet is the best item on the menu.

Went here on a recommendation from a friend. We arrived during the afternoon (between lunch-dinner) so the place was nearly empty. It was a experience that was marked by highs and lows. The service was exceptional when the waiter was there ... but he disappeared for long periods of time. The food was delicious ... but the portions were very... More

Gratzi, an elegant Italian restaurant with distinct style, was founded in downtown Ann Arbor, Mich. in December 1987. Formerly the Orpheum Theater, which screened the most popular movies of the day in the 1930s, Gratzi maintains the flair of the dramatic history still preserved today in the restaurant's elegant décor and ambience. Seated above Gratzi's bar is a grand sculpture of Orpheus himself, the great poet and musician, overlooking dining room guests, while a beautifully painted Renaissance-style mural depicting an ancient bacchanal reinforces the indulgent and purely pleasurable atmosphere. Indulge in the purely pleasurable atmosphere and savor unique flavors of regional Italian cuisine and wine.
