I have eaten at The Earle a number of times over the last 40 years, and often have a meal there on my yearly trip to Ann Arbor. It's a nice place, elegant. Cool jazz was playing the night we visited. The food was pretty good, but I expected a lot better. I had a veal dish in Marsala sauce.... More

My wife & I celebrated our anniversary here and since it was our first time we weren't sure what to expect. They made the evening very special and prepared a delicious meal. My wife had the whitefish which was perfect and I had a steak with a side of scallops. They don't actually offer them as a side but since... More

We went here for dinner. Great rustic setting, dimly lit. They had a guitar player for entertainment, but other days they have live piano or a small band. For starters we had the shrimp appetizer and French onion soup. Both of those fall in the good but not exceptional category. As for entrees, we had duck with apples and lamb... More

The Earle is an Ann Arbor gem. Dennis the perfect host, Steve a world class sommelier with 400+ bottles on a curated list ( quaffed a lovely Uruguayan Tannat tonight for $34). Food is well prepared, lovely ambiance (quiet but excellent piano). Just go and have a lovely evening. We have, for over 25 years.

The food options were numerous and the food very good. We went as a group and were there early in the evening as in 6P. However, even though there were very few people in the restaurant at the time we ordered, it took an exceedingly long time to get our drinks and entrees served.

Had dinner with my wife at the Earle during restaurant weeks 2017. Had a fantastic dinner with Duck and apples that was "wonderful". She (My wife) had the whitefish and said it was one of the best fish she's had. We had a flourless chocolate cake that was unbelievably good! For wine, love the Sommelier he has never steered us... Reasonable prices for nice place. Pasta dish was a little smaller portion that I would expect. Friendly/nice service. Nice live, background music too.

We had dinner at The Earle for the first time this month. We had a party of four and found everything on their menu to be excellent. I started with the Pasta e Fagioli which is a hearty bean soup simmered with pork, vegetables, and pasta with parmesan cheese. Delicious. My main course was Penne with Chicken tossed in a... More

Great restaurant with light jazzy music that starts at 8 pm. Restaurant is in bottom level with rock/brick cellar wall ambiance. Great wine menu. Also has nice bar area. Enjoyed french onion soup as appetizer and grilled salmon as entre.
