Tasty and filling, a perfect college visit stop

A very busy places with many students and college visitors! The ordering is simple with ample sides choices that meet everyone’s needs! Passion fruit smooth, chorizo burger, twice fried plantains. The salad is a must! Fresh, zesty and flavorful. Waiting is about 30 minutes on Sunday night around 7pm, but worth bathe wait!

Disappointing

Recently had lunch here after it reopened. We’ve been here before and really enjoyed the food. The appetizer plantains with avocado were good. I ordered the pulled pork with a salad and slaw. The pork has good flavorings however it was sooo salty I couldn’t finish it. I should of sent the salad back, it was butt end bitter romaine lettuce with old avocados that were turning brown. We also ordered fresh lemonade that they served in a sandwich baggie with a straw?? Are you kidding!? Very unpleasant to drink from. They must have a lot of recycling here because everything is plastic, throw away.

Delicious Cuban-inspired dishes in a bright inviting space!

Back to Frita Batidos for the first time in more than two years! This is a very popular restaurant often filled with students and young locals, so it has been too crowded the last couple times we tried to eat here, but on a cold and snowy Saturday in Ann Arbor, we were able to get in for lunch. And it didn't disappoint!! Order your meal at the counter and find a seat at one of the picnic tables. The wait for our food was 10-15 minutes, but the time passes quickly in such a brightly decorated space. We totally enjoyed our Inspired Cuban sandwich, Bright Light Salad, and Garlic & Cilantro Fries. Already looking forward to a return visit!

Cuban/American Fusion food that hits the high note!

Our sophomore son recommended this place for a late lunch on a very busy parents weekend Friday. They did not disappoint!! Seating is picnic style tables and expect to share the table as they are big. The food is Cuban / American fusion and very tasty! The chocolate milkshake hits the right note with a twist of cinnamon and the spicy margarita was perfect! Even my vegetarian husband who typically hates veggie burgers said that the burger was amazing!! My Personal favorite was the chorizo burger with garlic fries. Highly recommend this place.

No one can match Miami, but this was decent. I thought the beef sandwich would be slivers of beef, not patties. The plantains were a little greasy. The drinks were on the small side, but A+. I was somewhat confused with the two doors.

I went to Frita with my latin friends and had a wonderful time. Food was just amazing and we got exactly what we wanted because Roger, a guy who works there, helped us with tips. The best chocolate churros I have ever had! Thank you for such a warm service, I highly recommend Frita in Ann Arbor guys.

Absolutely Amazing Place With Amazing Food

Frita's is overall an amazing restaurant with a great atmosphere and even better food. It is a little expensive if you are a broke college kid but the food is worth it. This place deserves all the hype it gets.

We enjoy all sandwiches and especially the garlic fries....fruit smoothies!....picnic tables are always fun and you get to meet people from around Michigan and beyond.The wait staff is always friendly and helpful. Can't go wrong eating at Frita Bandidos😊

Come Hungry!

This casual dining spot is a perfect place to bring a hungry college student. There was a long queue when we arrived and we were worried we wouldn't find a table, but the tables turn over and by the time we had ordered, there was a clean table outside. The drinks (aka batidos) arrived first giving us time to enjoy them. The portions are huge but the ingredients are very fresh and the staff is super friendly. Nice decor too!

Good hamburgers and bowls. Service was slow. Felt like the Togo customers were getting great service and in-house customers were not getting their orders quickly. Worth the wait. Order the fried plantains as an appetizer.

Visiting our daughter, and she wanted to try this restaurant with us. The food was really good, I enjoyed my egg frita, and shakes were phenomenal. My husband thought portion was small, but I think it was perfect. It was a bit cold, and to avoid waiting they offered seating outside. While very kindly setting outside seating I think they realize my little ones were cold, so immediately Garrett helped us moving inside. This kind of service deserve to be recognize. Thank you and I really enjoyed my lunch. I cant wait to come back.

Yummy, Quick, and Flavorful

A great, quick, messy, yummy, casual place to eat a little something tasty. Love the flavors and I just feel joyful when I eat here. The restaurant itself is nothing to speak about - picnic tables, basically, but give it a try. The cocktails are strong.

Searched for a place to grab a burger. Oh my, Cuban Street Food is how it is described. We had the burger with cheese and think cut bacon. Oh yeah! Shoestring fries. Yep. Loaded plantains were heavenly. This is not a fast food establishment. They were busy and food came out often. Totally worth the wait.

We had to wit 90 minutes for our takeout order. If they had told us that when we placed the order, we would have skipped it. They told us one hour when we ordered, which is still way too long to wait. The food wasn’t worth the wait. Disappointed

Great Food, Fun Atmosphere

The fish frita is incredibly good. I had mine with the slaw and fresh jalapenos. I loved the lighter batido, so refreshing. The food was so good we came back in the evening to get churros! I'm sure we'll be back as we wanted to try everything on the menu!
