We've dined in and carried out a couple times from Carson's and consistently found it way below average. The service has been slow and inattentive at best. The food has just not been well prepared, tending to be overcooked and universally disappointing. The northeast corner of Ann Arbor doesn't have too many choices, but this is one to avoid.

Went to Carson's for lunch today. The interior is rather dark which was a pity on a snowy day with lots of sunshine, but the booths are comfortable and the atmosphere is pleasant. The menu choices (displayed on tablets) are pretty standard and not too exciting. There is the usual range of salads, pasta, sandwiches/burgers, seafood and steaks similar to... More

We were there for an early dinner on a Thursday night and it was quite crowded. It appeared to be the choice for a number of large groups. We had baby back ribs and sauteed whitefish (recommended by our server) and both were as good as expected. The highlight of our meal was the lava chocolate cake, served with a... More

My BF had this chicken soup, it was ok, I had the grilled salmon with broccoli and my BF had a Asian salad with grilled chicken on it. My salmon was good, nothing special and I gave my BF most of my broccoli, they were decent, but wasn't feeling like eating a forest of them. My salmon was darkened with... More

My husband and I really like this place. They have good food and an excellent happy hour. We went again tonight and were a bit ticked off due to the extremely poor service of our waiter. We were then rescued by a different waiter, named Joe, cause ours just gab up on us after giving us our waters. We then... More

Stopped in with 3 others to try the place out. I tried the corn chowder which was good and the yukatori chicken app. After this things took a turn for the worse. The server started to disappear for long stretch's of time. When she was there she butted into our conversations by saying to hand her silverware etc. I had... More

I really like this place. It is very nicely appointed, on the elegant, comfortable, quiet side. A great place for business or friends. The servers are very nice, attentive but not obtrusive. The food is very good, my favorite is the Brussels sprout appetizer. Yummy to the max!

Great ambiance especially in the bar area. Wine list decent and fairly priced. Touch pad menu is fun and informative. Food was fresh and enjoyable, served promptly. Bread in basket resembled pizza crust with herbs and olive oil, hard not to overeat! Quite yummy! Would like to visit in winter, looks like it would be a cozy and warming place... More

Friendly staff, cool iPad menu. You could click on the menu item and you would see a picture of the item. Nice selection of drinks, wine and beer. Unique entrees and appetizers. Only complaint entrees came before we finished our salads. We all liked our meals.
