I really enjoyed my gelato here at the Zingerman Creamery. Friendly staff and high quality ingredients = high prices. Don’t be alarmed or surprised but check as some items are worth the cost. Gelato most of all

My husband and I split and swapped two grilled cheese sandwiches on Zingerman's own wonderful fresh bread. Manchester cheese with fig jam on True North bread and Pimento Cheese on Italian bread - the latter was our favorite - you'll want to catch all the warm gooey drips on your plate for scooping up so as not to miss a morsel. We paired local craft beers from the cooler. A lovely little lunch served up with friendly smiles.

My wife and I each had the Machester Fig jam and salami sandwich. These are excelent! A bit salty, a bit sweet, with gooey cheese on a Michigan whole wheat bread. It hits all the notes! They have a whole menu of sanwiches, but this one is SO GOOD!

Service was fantastic. The dark chocolate gelato and the ginger ale cooler were both so delicious. This is a must when in Ann Arbor.

The absolute BEST creamery I've ever been to! Very helpful staff, a wide variety of cheese and fixings (all available for tasting), AND fresh ice cream and gelato (also available for tasting).
Why would you go anywhere else?!
I had some amazing 3 year cheddar, goat cheese cheddar, and chile jack that I'd ALL highly recommend!!
Great staff and lots of smiling faces -- I'll be back!

Had a double cone; dark chocolate and chocolate-hazelnut. It was simply delicious! The flavor was intense, like eating a cold dark chocolate. The texture was so smooth. This was the best since my trips to Germany. If you are in Ann Arbour, this is a GREAT stop!

I stopped by to use a coupon for the Cream Top creamery. I tried the sundae with chocolate gelato and peanut butter gelato topped with chocolate sauce, pecans and whipped cream. Very delicious!

It's a bit out of the way, but a variety of gelatos. Not quite what you find in Italy, but good. The 4 oz. wasn't large enough to take back with us, but the 8 oz. was quite expensive.

The Zingerman's conglomerate here in Ann Arbor includes a deli, Bakehouse bakery, Roadhouse restaurant, coffee beanery, baking and cooking school, mail order division, catering, and creamery among other endeavors. All of these are known for excellent food and quality customer service. I have been a regular customer at all of the Zingerman’s locations since 1998, and have never, ever been treated rudely by one of their employees. In fact, they will all bend over backwards to make the customer happy.
Zingerman's Creamery fits in well with all the other Zingerman’s businesses. It is located in an office park near Costco and across a major road from the tiny Ann Arbor airport, so a new visitor might wonder initially if he or she is in the right location. The Creamery offers a decent selection of artisanal cheeses, including freshly made mozzarella, and other dairy products. The selection of cheeses is larger at the Zingerman’s deli in Kerrytown, but the parking there is horrendous. Parking at the creamery is abundant. Buy some cheese and salami, walk down to the Bakehouse for fresh bread, and then enjoy lunch in our wonderful Ann Arbor summer climate at one of the outdoor picnic tables. (Yes, you’ll freeze your tail off in the middle of January, but there is indoor seating available at the baking school and beanery.) Afterward, finish your meal with a delicious dessert from the Bakehouse and coffee brewed from freshly roasted beans at the Coffee Beanery. The Creamery sells an eclectic mix of other items, such as organic peanut butter with no additives other than salt, artisanal fudge sauce to use on ice cream and other desserts, chocolate coated house made peanut brittle, etc. However, the most delicious product offered is their house made gelato. The dark chocolate gelato will satisfy every chocoholic's taste buds. In addition to the standard flavors, Zingerman's has created additional flavors that are unique to this business. While there are not 32 flavors of gelato, there are certainly plenty from which to choose.

I didn't know they had gelato here! We tasted most of the flavors all of which were very good. Ended up getting chocolate and vanilla. Both were creamy and the chocolate was super rich and delicious! I wish they would let you get more than 2 flavors in the smaller sizes though.

I had high hopes for this place having the Zingerman's name attached to it. I came here with my family and we had read about their ice cream/gelato and we were dying to try it. What transpired was nothing short of disappointing. We ordered what can best be described as four gelatos consisting of a single little smaller than a golf ball sized ball...worst part of it was that it tasted so freezer burned...it was gross. Each of these smaller than a golf ball sized gelatos were about $5 each...Shameful! I love to spend money on food, especially good food...but this was stupid. I have had gelato in Italy, ice cream all over the world and have never paid so much for so little. This was a Ripoff.
I have been eating at Zingerman's all of my life and I am shocked that they have so little respect for their customers to treat them so poorly. Charging $5 for a tiny little mini golf ball sized gelato tells me that you have forgotten that the customers should feel a sense of value for what they get. You have forgotten that customers have to be satisfied when they eat at your place. Cost vs value is way off base here. You aren't selling gold and gems...it is just an ice cream. You ripped me off and I won't be back. Shame on you!
