Arab Tea House Restaurant & Cafe is located in the old district of Al Fahidi by the Creek and offers authentic flair.
It is a bit hidden, but after a leisurely walk through the bazaar and the Indian quarter you are at the right address. The house is a bit inconspicuous from the outside, but inside there is a pleasant Arab feeling.
Cosy armchairs, larger benches with tables, although a bit tight, but the crowd is very large here, as many tourists and also local guests like to enjoy the various delicacies.
We stay at Arabian Tea House at least three times on every Dubai holiday, our favourites Malhalabia and Dates Milkshake – really delicious for in between. Of course, there are other dishes on the menu.
The service team is very friendly and always trying to find a place for the guest right away, as sometimes there is still some crowding outside the entrance. Really an ideal place to hang out in the afternoon.

Finding the Arabian Tea House in Al Fahidi wasn’t easy (thanks to a tricky Uber ride), but it was worth it!
The serene ambiance blew me away from the moment I stepped in—the crunch of white pebbles under my foot, handmade wooden furniture, and a towering palm tree letting in soft light through its fronds. The air-conditioned oasis, with chirping birds and attentive staff, felt worlds away from Dubai’s bustle.
Though I wasn’t very hungry after a hotel breakfast, I couldn’t resist their date smoothie, bursting with freshness. We also shared a pot of tea tarik and chebab (Emirati pancakes with honey and cheese sauces)—all delicious.
This place is more than a meal; it’s an experience. Don’t leave Dubai without stopping by for chai and soaking in the magical atmosphere!

We visited Arabian Tea house today for lunch. We had visited a year back and always felt the experience was good and are always happy to wait for a table. Unfortunately this time after being taken to the table and ordering the food came twenty minutes after the order. Only one dish that we ordered came to the table. After five minutes we asked for the other food. We were asked if we wanted to order another chicken sandwich but had already ordered the kebab. The waiter then told us that the other waiter did not key in the dish we had ordered. He said it would take another 20 minutes for the dish and asked if we wanted humus instead with bread or a rice dish. We then passed on the order and ate one chicken sandwich between three. The character of the place is not the same and we’re we’re also rushed to leave after finishing the food. There was no apology for the error made. It is unfortunate that the place comes across now as commercial and has lost its character

A wonderful place to enjoy delicious traditional local cuisine! The food was fantastic, full of authentic flavors, and the staff (a big shout out to Eldna with her lovely smile) was incredibly warm and welcoming. The overall atmosphere of the place was lovely, though we found the indoor seating quite cold with the portable AC and fans running at full blast. Thankfully, we managed to get an outdoor table, which was absolutely perfect for the weather. Despite this minor issue, we had a great experience and will definitely be coming back!

This establishment is located in the tourist district of Al Fahidi. As soon as you enter inside, you are surprised by the decor and the atmosphere, you are far from the stifling heat, the crowds, the hectic street. You are in another world. The service is attentive, smiling; The menu is solid for those who simply want to have tea or coffee, or to eat. We went there twice during our stay, for what remain wonderful, unforgettable moments. Visited the Arabian Courtyard for breakfast today, and it was an absolute treat! The ambiance perfectly captured the casual and inviting vibe the restaurant aims for, making it a great spot to start the day.
We ordered the Arabic Platter, which was a standout. It featured a delightful selection of olives, labne, rose jam, handmade yogurt with honey, scrambled eggs, and za’atar served with olive oil and freshly baked khubus. The flavors were authentic and brought a true taste of Arabic cuisine to the table.
Despite the busy Sunday morning rush and a significant number of tourists, the staff were exceptional. They remained cheerful, proactive, and polite throughout our visit. Special thanks to Stacy, Eshan, Elda, and Chaltu, who ensured we were well taken care of with their attentive and warm service.
Overall, Arabian Courtyard offers a beautiful blend of great food, authentic flavors, and outstanding hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a true Arabic breakfast experience!

What we firstly noticed was that the place looked very authentic. However, the food was not amazing. We had Emirati Chicken Barbeque and Biryani Deyay. What disappointed us at first, was that the Biryani Deyay came no later than 10 minutes after ordering, but the BBQ came additional 20 minutes later. It would have been better if we could have enjoyed our food together. Another thing I found a little bit annoying was that whatever we wanted to order, the waiter tried to persuade us to get something different (which was more expensive). However, while the BBQ was good, the Biryani chicken I did not enjoy.

Restaurant is on the street with a lot of traffic. Simple furniture. Indian music is always playing. - Friendly and fast service. - Food OK. The fairly large spring rolls were very good. The chicken with rice was very dry, had been stored for too long. There is water and juice to drink. We had a glass of pomegranate juice, which was unfortunately much too sweet. - But all in all a good value evening.

Arabian Tea House Restaurant & Cafe was in my bucket list and it wasn’t just a random visit. What attracted me most was the authentic Arabic culture. This place’s also spacious, traditional and cosy; a very chill place for any types of social gathering.
Having a table under a shady old tree, it offered me an authentic peaceful and serene ambience. Together with the staff’s hospitality— good recommendations on food and how different food items should pair with, it was a nice afternoon retreat in the Vibrant city of Dubai.
However, the table arrangements were very chaotic on the day I visited. There were tons of people waiting both inside and out but the restaurant was in fact not fully filled. They should have gotten a walkie talkie in order to have a better and more effective communication between staff. Except from that, it was 10/10.
PS: there are quite some similar restaurants/ cafes on the same street which are equally nice by sight

Lovely authentic restaurant, where the food and drinks were among the best I have had so far in Dubai. Service was overall good, however let down by covering up the waiters error at a cost to me.
Only reason it didn’t get a 5, is the waiter incorrectly took our order, adding an additional starter that we didn’t want. I immediately sent it back saying we didn’t order or want it (in a nice way). The supervisor then brought it back and said you may as well have it now as it will go to waste. We tried it but didn’t like it so it left the majority of it. When the bill came it was still included - the supervisor then said as we ate it we have to pay for it. I argued my point once but they were insistent, so I paid and what extra it cost me was what they lost out on a tip.

Words cannot describe what this restaurant made me feel. Beautiful and authentic! The staff, the smell, the ambiance, the white and blue furniture, everything about this restaurant is well thought through. The staff will explain everything about the food and mak sure you order the right dishes for your taste buds. This is my favourite restaurant in Dubai! Highly recommended.

This place is incredible. It was our first stop after taking the red eye and landing in Dubai. Kelly was our server, and we can’t iterate enough just how wonderful she was! She helped guide us with what to order and then provided helpful suggestions on different ways to combine eating all the foods that came in the meal together. We are planning to come back for lunch before we leave!
