We were there after iftar because going to a restaurant for iftar is not a great decision for your wallet or experience. Staff greeted and served us with warmth. Food was good in terms of quality and taste although Reem Al Bawadi has a very good track record of that being consistent. The sheesha was alright, it kept getting extremely... More

This restaurant is the worst restaurant I have been in my life! I went with my friend, service was very slow and rude, Shisha changed 4 times but still very terrible. Finally we complained to the manager, he came and said ' I will handle it ' no apologize, nothing! This restaurant ruined our evening, I will never come back.

I have been told that if you are visiting the Middle East during the holy month of Ramadan, you have to try the evening Iftar meals in a local restaurant. This is such a location serving mainly Arabic food and offering a huge spread for you to break your fast with. Food selection was great, all the food seems to... More

Delicious authentic cuisine. The hot mezze (houmus with chicken shawarma and cheese parcels) were delicious. Mains came in very very large portions!! Meat was so tasty and juicy.

It was recommended by the cabbie and we were not disappointed by it one bit. The food was delicious. We ordered middle eastern spread and the portions were enormous. We were surprised to see the quantity . It wasn't too warm in September so we chose to sit outside. It was lovely having a sumptuous meal next to burj Khalifa... More

Staying in Jumeirah

Neighborhood Profile
Jumeirah
Years ago, before the skyscrapers, before the 12-lane highway, there was only Jumeirah. In fact, when the UAE was formed, its rulers signed the agreement in Union House, at the very start of Jumeirah Beach Road. Often called “The Beverly Hills” of Dubai, a drive down Beach Road reveals one enormous, lavish villa after another. Originally residential-only neighborhoods, they are now also home to an array of cafes, smart boutiques, and art galleries. Home to one of Dubai’s few public beaches, this recently renovated area includes a new boardwalk, running and walking track, with changing facilities and cafes along the way. Another landmark, Jumeirah Mosque, is the only mosque in Dubai that can be entered by non-Muslims. As part of the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, the mosque hosts regular tours and talks about Islam, as part of an “Open Doors, Open Minds” program. A wonderful way to understand more about the UAE and Islam.
