After a day walking around the creek area we drove down Jumeirah Road in an effort to get to The Lime Tree. We had a selection to share including a beef focaccia, salmon risotto cakes and giant homemade sausage roll all with variety of fresh and delicious juices. Complimenting these were lattes and desserts. The cheesecake was a highlight. All... More

A popular expat cafe for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Delicious fresh food with a New Zealand twist. A great choice of juices and yum milkshakes. I love the sandwiches and warm cheesy scones. A nice cup of tea and a slice of their famous carrot cake is a must, in fact all of their cakes are fab. Enjoy!

Every time I visit I try something new and I'm never disappointed. I have come with many people on different occasions and they all feel the same way. There's something for everyone here, and leave some room for the best carrot cake in Dubai!

One of the few good restaurants that allow pets in their premise. Good portion on servings and food is made fresh. Since I have my dog with me we were only allowed to dine at the garden are - would have been nice if we can do so on the second floor balcony area. Staff are friendly and in some... More

We ate here twice with friends on a recent trip to Dubai - lovely relaxed feel to the place, great outdoor seating area both downstairs and up on a terrace as well. Good food, great service and really enjoyed our lunches here. Highly recommended.

(A vegetarians point of view) Lime tree cafe has been established in Dubai over a decade back. I have heard nothing but good things about their offerings and finally went to try it. Apart from the restaurant service area, they have an attractive little retail store selling the most delicious looking goods. All the dishes have been showcased in a... More

The Lime Tree was one of the first places I visited for lunch when I arrived in Dubai 8 years ago (I actually ate there on my birthday) and it has a real charm. Food is excellent. I've recently moved house and live closer to it so became a more frequent visitor...BUT i've noticed some niggles....as another reviewer said, why... More

This location was remodeled since the last time I was there but it still has a beautiful garden and the signature case displaying all the amazing salads, quiches, etc that they serve. I find the food here fresh, delicious, and unique - especially since they are in a city that I find often prefers appearance over taste! I'd love a... More

Staying in Jumeirah

Neighborhood Profile
Jumeirah
Years ago, before the skyscrapers, before the 12-lane highway, there was only Jumeirah. In fact, when the UAE was formed, its rulers signed the agreement in Union House, at the very start of Jumeirah Beach Road. Often called “The Beverly Hills” of Dubai, a drive down Beach Road reveals one enormous, lavish villa after another. Originally residential-only neighborhoods, they are now also home to an array of cafes, smart boutiques, and art galleries. Home to one of Dubai’s few public beaches, this recently renovated area includes a new boardwalk, running and walking track, with changing facilities and cafes along the way. Another landmark, Jumeirah Mosque, is the only mosque in Dubai that can be entered by non-Muslims. As part of the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, the mosque hosts regular tours and talks about Islam, as part of an “Open Doors, Open Minds” program. A wonderful way to understand more about the UAE and Islam.
