We decided to have lunch here one day as a set meal was advertised on the board outside. We were a little dubious, first of all the price seemed almost too reasonable (for Dubai and for a 'celebrity' restaurant, and also thought that perhaps the fact that it was a 'celebrity' owned establishment that the food would not live up... Love the place! Love the food! The vibe is also often quiet nice and I've been here many times but today I am writing cause something went wrong and the management got to know! I got the wrong order and it was an order that we had discussed with our waiter captain at length ... clearly something went wrong in... More

If you come here on a Wednesdaynight all the ladies get two free drinks, so that is a good start to the evening. Had dinner here with friends and booked a table in the bar (where one is allowed to smoke). Live piano and music can sometimes be a tad loud, but it all adds to the lively atmosphere in... More

Frankie's is one of my all time favorites in Dubai. The combination of the quality of the food, the live music and the friendliness of the staff make this place special! We ate in the lounge bar side of the restaurant which is where the real atmosphere is, especially once the live music and singing gets started. Although this side... More

First off the good, the drinks were great, perfect. and then the food, it was ok but not amazing, we had veal milanese and lazagna; both of them not bad but then not amazing. and then we get to the atmosphere of the place, maybe it was a bit too early, but it was quiet and dark and so uninteresting,... This was about the fifth time I have visited Frankie's and have always had very good food. We always have pizza and pasta and have never been disappointed. The bar area, when you walk in, is great. You can sit and enjoy a range of cocktails before your meal. Overall, it is a lovely restaurant, serving great food.

We booked this restaurant for 12 adults on January 18th as part of our stay in Dubai. First impressions were good, nice surroundings, lovely staff etc. The restaurant seemed quiet at the time. After our orders were taken it all went down hill. Food was slow coming out. The feedback on the starters from our group was very mixed, some... More

Hi Sylvester, I'm very sorry that we let your group down on Wednesday evening. We pride ourselves on our food and the quality of the ingredients we use so it's very disappointing to hear that some of the dishes fell below the mark. It was in fact quiet when you entered the restaurant but actually turned out to be a... More

After visiting this restaurant on many occasions over the last 5 years I was extremely disappointed with the levels of services received this evening and the attention paid towards my young family in particular - not being able to provide a chicken Milanese instead of veal( which they have done on each last occasion, especially as there were only two... Visited Frankies on Christmas Eve, we hadn't booked but got a table easily. Menu quite limited and expensive. We had three pizzas and one pasta dish with drinks from the happy hour menu. Good service and good food but £100+ for pizza is not on👎

Hi Ahmad,

I just happened to see your review, and especially your following comment:

"my friend wanted to order her own penne pasta and customize it based on what she wants, mushroom and broccoli added to the pasta. After a while when i was standing in the bar with my friends, we over heared the chef was talking bad about our table as he was furious and talking in a bad tone about us with mr. Angelo saying that "if we want to order such kind of food they should go to such cheap fast foods which they make such foods", and he was refusing to make that dish!!!"

This is very strange of you to post. I have known and gone to Frankie's for years, and trust me, we have challenged chef Fabio on many occasions. Not once has he failed me and my guests in facilitating the craziest food requests. He might have rolled his eyes some times but he always out did himself in producing the food requested. He never shook his head or refused to comply with our wishes.

Your friend must either be a lousy cook, a pretentious, not in the know restaurant guest; or you did not articulate and verbalize your request properly. I reckon the later being the case.

Cooks are cooks and Chefs are Artists. Fabio is an artist, and he is one of the best I might add. Having traveled and are traveling the world, I have been to pretty much all high end and top restaurants. Frankie's is well balanced and very high quality, and the atmosphere is unique. Every guest there is made welcome and is being appreciated.

Please don't take my response to be patronizing. However, its like someone telling me the engine of my Bentley doesn't run smoothly or the seats on my corporate jet are uncomfortable. Comments like that might come from a Chevrolet or Cadillac driver and someone flying economy on an European or American airline carrier.

Be safe, have fun, hug a loved one and enjoy life; ang return to Frankie's so you discover the uniqueness of the place.

Best regards,

Alexis Alexa

Staying in The Marina

Neighborhood Profile
The Marina
It’s hard to believe that only a decade ago there was no marina. Opened in 2003, the man-made marina runs along a 3km stretch of shoreline. A heady mix of luxurious hotels, apartment buildings, and cafes, the marina hosts regular community events and markets, and is a wonderful place to while away an afternoon or evening. Spectacular at night when the skyscrapers glisten, here you can enjoy dinner on the beach next to the sea, or visit a high-rise bar in a hotel for a magnificent view across the Gulf and the man-made Palm Island, with the world-famous Atlantis Hotel at its end. The Walk at Jumeirah beach Residences is a pedestrianized stretch leading to a new development: The Beach. It’s one of the few places where Gulf nationals mix with tourists and Western ex-pats. It’s a popular place to show off your supercar for an evening, so watch out for Lamborghinis, Maseratis, and Ferraris in abundance.
