This is the second time I try this restaurant in Umm Sequeim and it will be the last...my friend ask me to give it a "new" try again witch I did. We both order a eggs Benedict with salmon. And really it wasn't good. Then we...order a "Paris Brest" witch was very dry and now I know why...before paying the bill I decide to take two extra cake for home to my guest. One lemon meringue tart and the other one a strawberry tart. When I gave the 2 tarts to my guess, the strawberry tart had already started to rotten, the strawberry look all soft and shaggy... went strait back to the cafe, told the lady who just said that the one I had was 2 days old and that some of the cakes are also few days old but if I wanted I could have the one they made on the day. I am so disappointed about this place!More

The recently opened branch in Um Seqiem 1 has chosen to occupy the premises of the old 'Central Perk' (for those who know the area), adjacent to another successful restaurant, and in an area that has limited parking and for the most part, on parking...meter. It has set itself some difficult parameters to succeed. Nonetheless, the menu is reasonably varied and extensive, and is aimed at casual dining. Staff were very polite, knowledgeable and attentive, and when we experienced some issues, they were very apologetic and keen to make right. The food was served quickly and was hot when it was meant to be. The quality of the food was mainly very good and the portion sizes were ample, presented nicely and where appropriate the meals were piping hot. Where we had issues, the food did not appear on the final bill without us having to make comment. Seating could be either inside or outside, and as the weather was pleasant we chose the latter option. Unfortunately the chairs were not particularly comfortable and the tables quite flimsy with bars at inappropriate places for leg comfort. Time will tell as to whether this café will be successful where it is, we will go again as we only just live up the road within a short walk, but if we had to drive to get there, we are not sure that we would rush back.More

We try the new "cafe Vendome" in Umm Sequeim this week. Decided to go for a late lunch at 3 pm. We decided to eat 3 of the "classic" main course and 1 cheesecake, 1 tarte citron/lemon tarte, 1 tarte aux framboises/ raspberry tarte, and...the waitress told us that she had NOTHING of what we ask for, and only had chocolat cake and french Eclair and for the main course we had to change it also. We suggested another dish with salmon in it (sorry cannot remember the name) they didn't have any!!!!!!!!! We decided to walk away!!!!!! We decided to go to "La Brioche" and was able to eat😄 Later on I call the main manager to explain the situation, he say that it wasn't acceptable and he will get back to me.... still waiting! where is the customer services? How can you have a menu with so much food missing on it!!! Is it just to look nice... or is it that you must come early in the morning to make sure they have what is on the menu?!...More

Well.. It s one of those iftar that makes you feel at home. You can come every night and menu varies. It s typical algerian style with chorba soup so tasty then bourek with meat and light salad.. And a very home style m'touwwen meat...and veggies dish Melting in your mouth. Then, i should add that you always meet some famous people there. Tonight was a football player! And very important people in UAE. All this mix, sit beside each other and relax and chill! Go for itMore

Nestled inside Dubai Garden center offering good food, snacks & beverages. It could do a bit better if they can find more space to sit, currently their is hardly a choice, except for two table-top's with 4-6 high stools... Service is good as well as...the choices on offer. Hot & tempting Crape is served too... If they could move their location as against right as you enter, it would do them good, as with limited space & door's to the Garden Center opening/closing by the sec, it does become annoying plus with Dubai heat, you do get a whiff of hot air coming straight at yr face... been there twice by now...More

Stepped in here for a quick lunch a couple of days ago. Its located in Al Quoz and I think the location is the cafes biggest disappointment. However, when I stepped in I was greeted by very friendly staff and the smell of coffee and...freshly baked bread and the cafe seemed to have a warm and welcoming interior. The food I ordered seemed to be very good, the bread fresh and the orange juice was fantastic. I would definitely go there again.More

Great cafe, in a not so great location. You walk in and immediately the smell of fresh coffee and pastry hits you, so sweet. Just wanted a coffee but couldn't resist also taking an almond bread with chocolate insert (great innovation) and a dark chocolate...eclaire. Yummy yum yumMore

Stop by over the weekend for a quick espresso and a quiche. The espresso was of poor quality, no foam on top. I do not understand how a waiter can serve it to you. At the price you pay for a coffee you expect quality....The cheese quiche was very creamy but lacked the taste of cheeses and seasoning, I guess the mix was more on the cream than anything. Use to be better quality wise.More

Well got just two things to say... Coffee was just about ok and Pizza...You probably shouldn't be servicing pizza if what was served to me was the standard.

We had a great time having coffee. Quiet, nice ambiance, absolutely we love it. Will back here for sure. You can get here thru Taxi and FGB Metro train.

Al Quoz
Al Quoz sits literally at the halfway point between
old and new Dubai. At first sight it has little to
recommend it: warehouses and factories dominate the
area, with some residential areas on the outskirts.
Heavy goods vehicles roar up and down the roads and
laborers stop at small hole-in-the-wall cafes for a
cheap lunch. But it is fast becoming a magnet for art
lovers: Alserkal Avenue is a significant contemporary
