Having been a regular customer for more than 10 years, the "value erosion" has been all too evident and the offering has been on a steady decline over the years - save for the prices, which have gone in the opposite direction. While the meat...is OK'ish and the salad lettuce fresh, the salad sauce has a sour taste and the Entrecote signature sauce was unrecognizable, in both texture and taste. It is as if the restaurant has decided to ditch the "secret recipe" and created its own sauce in an arbitrary fashion and the result is, to put it mildly, not good at all. If you think it can't get any worse, then wait till you see the fries. Lukewarm, stone hard and without any texture, they were most likely fried 1-2 hours earlier in the day and kept warm, buffet-style. This somehow explains the promptness of the service, because it took us just 25 minutes between placing our order and paying the bill! The service was OK overall but not out of this world. There was a swarm of waiters buzzing around and serving tables in a somewhat uncoordinated manner, where you would have one waiter bring you stuff you had asked the other NOT to bring a few seconds earlier! The setting is not necessarily conducive for a cozy meal and the staff don't look particularly happy or motivated. It's a real shame, because when a single-concept restaurant can't get its (overpriced) food right, then something is definitely wrong.More
